Charlie Jones is a decent receiver playing for a passing heavy team that lost nearly their entire receiving corps. No shit he was going to put up numbers. So would the other 3 guys he was behind when he left.

Also, KF is forcing Petras as the starter so Brian absolutely is being held back. He also isn't very good on his own. This is not a binary situation.

So you’re saying that Iowa has had a bunch of WRs who are a scheme and QB change away from excellence? Yeah, I’m not buying it. Most Iowa receivers would struggle wherever they played because they’re not very good. Jones is an outlier. Tracy at Purdue looks a lot like Tracy at Iowa.
