Again, Kirk watched Banks and Tate. Saw what they brought to the table offensively. Made the conscious decision it did not appeal to him and went the opposite direction from that point forward.

At least during my time, I don’t recall meeting a single player who was paying a dime. Most of those guys weren’t Merit Scholars either. Ivies have so many endowed scholarships with nebulous criteria that the football team is taken care of across the board. A QB would absolutely have a free ride.

Bri and his daddy have both referred to the mobility of a QB as “running around”. KF said it about Labas when a reporter said the Labas considers himself as dual threat. He asked KF if he agreed. He said a bunch of shit and ended with “Yea, he’s running around out there.” It’s so telling to have them both make this type of comment. They truly believe a mobile QB is pointless. They are so behind the times and it’s maddening.

I want to believe this is a scenario where Padilla has informed them he's leaving at the semester, Labas is a retard, and they don't want a young player like May playing behind this shitty OL. So every single unfathomable piece of bullshit they are spewing is precisely them simply covering.

I mean, they can't really thinking having a QB that can avoid the rush is somehow a detriment to an offense, right?

As a realist, I believe all our QBs, who came to Iowa fairly highly touted, either now suck or have regressed within an archaic offense and under the tutelage of a retarded coaching staff.

Going through this thread and all the others, it still blows my mind how many people think simply dumping Brian and Spencer fixes this. The offense isn’t making marked improvement until Kirk hangs it up. It’s over. The bounce back isn’t coming this time.
