That may be true, but why the fuck does it take 8 games to figure out the best line? That shit needs figured out early, then the early games should be the opportunity to work on cohesion.
Because they aren't very good and they literally develop and get better through the season(s).

Dainty is not the word I would use for Jogger’s wife….
Yes, my wife who has made a lot of money off her looks in college and is currently a marathon runner is a real hog!

I mean, experience, health, opponent, game results be practice, anything else?

He might call Kirk a faggot and make fun of his big lips after he sees what he has for QBs

Considering he's buddies with Spencer, if there's any chance Nico coming back could contribute to Spencer coming back, I hope he is not using his covid year
Spencer ain't coming back to deal with assholes in the Iowa fan base.

Iowa will try out another incompetent quarterback that failed to develop under Kirk’s son, Brian Ferentz

From the Copeland interviews Iowa is, at best, hoping to get Keagan back for the bowl game. He might be at a different school by then. They also don't know exactly what's wrong with him so that's swell.

I’m shocked we can’t recruit any wide receivers

I hope he followed that by, “but we run pro style, teach the little things that can make players be successful here and after”

whether that’s true or not

What did everyone think of Copeland’s comments this week? Are they fair or is he just making excuses for his own career? I understand recruiting WRs to Iowa might be difficult, but I thought his comments were way over exaggerating the situation and looked more like him hedging his job performance/security.

From the article alone they didn’t sound great, however I imagine audio exists that would provide better context.

we do suck at recruiting WR though because our offense blows

He talked abt the perception that’s out there and how that affects his recruiting. I thought it was pretty fair. But I’m a coach apologist so take that with a grain of salt.

If the perception is “Iowa sucks at offense and what they do does not allow a receiver to be successful” then that perception is correct, and of course it would affect WR recruiting

From Scott's article in the Athletic I thought his comments were fine. Outside of Kasper's kid going to Oregon...was David Bell the last high profile WR they tried to recruit?

Seems like lately it's been a bunch of middle of the road kids that will take 3 years to see the field.

He was being a truth teller, but I don’t think it helps the situation. Those were the words of a hopeless man. The only path to better WR recruiting is a new OC who Kirk allows to do his job.

Agree. Was just saying I didn’t think his comments were bad.
