The program thinks their QB target may also bring a WR or two with him (or at least that is what their target has been saying).
Aj henning is looking to transfer closer to home for more touches. But it sounds like Northwestern or Illinois. NIL is a big deal because he's making good money at Michigan on it right now

If it’s true that it’s McNamara bringing a couple receivers with him I’m wondering if one of them is Andrel Anthony.

Is McNamara going to be content sitting on the sideline and watching Padilla take every snap next year?
Oh my fucking word, shut the fuck up you loser IowaFan dorks.

I personally just fucking hated watching Spencer putter about
Absolutely this. I think Spencer is the only quarterback on Iowa’s roster that would have won the minnesota game this year. Not that he played particularly well or anything, but lil Alex is a little guy who the cold and wind would have conquered. That said, all these games weren’t worth it. Iowa plays a pretty miserable style, having a pants shitting statue who falls down easily makes that much worse.

"With a medical exemption for 2022 and the Covid exemption for 2020, McNamara will be immediately eligible next season with likely three years of eligibility remaining. "

Wouldn’t McNamara want to go to the NFL after one year anyway if he thinks he has a chance to get paid for a bit?

It doesn’t appear McNamara is going to be playing for anyone anytime soon. Months

There's always the chance this blows up and/or we're all wrong, but one important takeaway from what everyone has been hearing is that Iowa has realized that in order to compete, it needs to start paying for recruits and transfers. As I mentioned yesterday, the number I heard was $600k for their QB target (which everyone seems to think is McNamara), and that money is coming from The Swarm program and directly from individual donors. I've also heard Proctor's financial package is somewhere between $800k-$1M.

I want any QB other than Petras!

Not THAT one!
As pathetic and stupid as CycloneFan is every single offseason with their deranged confidence that they will be awesome and every player is a Heisman candidate, IowaFan has surpassed them in their snarky negativity and insistence that every player and coach sucks and the program is going down in flames.

If we are to get a QB in the portal, I would prefer it to be one whose leg wasn't surgically repaired last week, but I'll take whatever we can get.
Surround him with some all big 10 offensive lineman and 3-4 wide receiver transfers and he'll be fine. And a new offensive coordinator. Then he'll be fine.

Evidently Budmayr recruited Cade's brother to Colorado State.

I’m not necessarily excited about Budmayr being the next OC but I also don’t feel like it would be fair to write him off based on the performance of Kirk’s son, Brian Ferentz and Spencer.

All they needed was a competent QB and Iowa goes 11-1 last year and 10-2 or 11-1 this year. McNamara is competent.
Are we sure any QB will be competent behind this OL? I’m not. Both have to be fixed. I don’t ever want to see Logan Jones/Beau Stephens again.

It’s enough without question to write him off.
