Never said I wouldn’t take him over the other options. I just happen to believe he’s not going to be as successful in Iowa because the OL is trash.
you are the biggest dipshit on this website so I can safely feel good about the opposite of any of your predictions

Richman and Proctor should be good enough tackles with the potential to be excellent. I feel like two of Britt, Elsbury, Dunker, Colby, and Stephens can be satisfactory at guard. Either Jones or Myslinski needs to show major improvement at center though or the line will continue to struggle. Staff needs to decide whether or not one of those guys is capable soon or hit the portal.

I thought Colby played pretty damn well at Guard after moving back inside.

C is the big weak link. Snap issues. Call issues. Blocking issues. Need a big improvement from Jones or a replacement.

Whoever the new QB is, imagine the shock he’ll feel when it’s the first practice and that first snap only makes it to the front of Logan Jones ball sack.

Who was the tackle that stood there letting Padilla get smoked?

Petras, Padilla, Labas, May.

Those were the QBs Ken O’Keefe recruited after he rejoined the staff. Woof.

Petras walking, Padilla entering the portal, and a lot of smoke on McNamara makes this all seem pretty clear. If McNamara happens they are doing exactly what they should for QB.

McNamara for a year (or more?) to bridge to Lainez, who seems somewhat promising, or the next transfer. Don’t bother with May or Labas at all, unless they make strides.

In an effort to protect Spence, they never gave Padilla a fair shot. God forbid they get Padilla some live game reps when afforded the opportunity.
Padilla threw 157 passes and didn't complete even half of them. And 5 yards per attempt.

There's always the chance this blows up and/or we're all wrong, but one important takeaway from what everyone has been hearing is that Iowa has realized that in order to compete, it needs to start paying for recruits and transfers. As I mentioned yesterday, the number I heard was $600k for their QB target (which everyone seems to think is McNamara), and that money is coming from The Swarm program and directly from individual donors. I've also heard Proctor's financial package is somewhere between $800k-$1M.
Agree 100%. My source! made me feel much better about the AD position regarding NIL. Different sport but general attitude cuts across all.

Connor Bezelak is also in the portal. He was an Iowa recruit.

Keep digging Cletey, you may find the bottom of the hole you are in eventually.

Your stats leave out how many times Peaches completely stalled any movement by taking a huge sack. He also has some fumbles under his belt. I think anyone with eyes could see Padilla as a better option but still shitty. Like I said, both can be true.

Padilla seems like a guy who will bite his tongue after he is gone. Too bad.

Spencer Petras really sucks.

Alex Padilla also really sucks.

Iowa mismanaged the QB situation that didn't put Padilla in an ideal situation to succeed.

#2 and #3 can both be true statements.
