I don’t give a fuck what any of them are paid. I hope the new OC is paid more than Brian.

I believe in meritocracy and not having decisions driven by familial relation. The choices to originally hire and promote him were arguably (if not entirely credibly) justified by other considerations. This one wouldn’t be in any way, shape or form. Fired OCs do not stay.

So was Iowa able to finally convince some big donors or what happened? As much as I like to take the small-town mentality that if everyone joins together anything can happen, there is no way Bob, Suzy, and a few others each giving $100 is the difference maker to Iowa being in contention for all of these guys right now.
You mean Andy Hardy movies aren't real?

Why do we have to do this where it can't be some sort of gray area in between and just HAS to be something where everyone declares someone or something sucks and it is an OUTRAGE!! if anything less that the worst happens?

Again, I think Brian is gone and should be gone. He's too young and has too much of his coaching career ahead of him to stay around at Iowa in a demoted position. He's actually a good coach as well and needs to go off and live his life again.

For some odd reason way too many people seem really desperate to paint him as the worst coach in football history and the only reason he has anything at all is because of daddy. It's absurd.
He's possibly the worst OC in football history.

Any success he had as an OL coach appears to have been Doyle or was Brian to high and mighty as the OC to step in and try to right the OL this year? Didn't want to step on any toes?

If they are tremendously successful in the portal and get some more playmakers on offense, I'd be ok to fuck around and find out to let Brian stay on the team in a non-OC role.
No fucking way. What if he moves to some shit like associate HC or whatever. Iowa has great success and Brian sticks around to succeed his dad. Fuck that. Even ignoring his complete inability to design an offense and call a game, there’s plenty of smoke around him not being liked by his players. Him staying on in any capacity is a bad idea.

Oh bullshit. He was hired as a position coach after showing more than enough competency for the Patriots. He had as much or more experience than a number of other guys coaching for Iowa right now.

I don't like him either Stink, but lol at these scenarios where everything positive is totally due to others or circumstance or has nothing to do with him, but everything bad is 10000% his fault.

Doesn't work that way, you can't have both. He gets credit for the good and he gets credit for the bad.

absent Brian's coaching, Gronk and Hernandez prolly never amount to much other than practice squad players.

Lol giving bridawg credit for OL success. Shawnee could have looked good coaching the OL with guys like Wirfs, Linderbaum & Jackson.

Brian is a complete fucking retard and it's safe to assume that any success that "he's" had was a result of someone else's work.
Obviously. Gets no credit for anything, blame for everything.

Makes sense.

I mean, fuck Brian, but LOL at the entire white washing of his coaching history and ability. He's been a good position coach. He's been a shitty coordinator. For some odd reason way too many people seem really desperate to paint him as the worst coach in football history and the only reason he has anything at all is because of daddy. It's absurd.

I don’t really give 2 shits about the coaching stuff until after the transfer portal is done. Having Brian visit recruits doesn’t mean anything.

Right, and it happens every single year. Coaches are coaching and recruiting until they aren't. Many examples of coaches out recruiting for their current job even thought they know they are leaving.

Lol I mean just FUCKING LOL at rationalizing BriDawg remaining on staff.

cucks.
It’s awkward as fuck for the new OC if Brian is on staff.
Nobody wants Brian on staff. The point was if for some stupid reason he wants to take a demotion from OC to OL or TE coach, the world will go on and everyone at Iowa will be able to more than function.

You can say that, but if I'm a new, incoming OC, there is no way I want Brian on staff.

2025, probably “Brian will be a solid replacement for Kirk. He just needs to surround himself with top coordinators but he’s got a great pedigree and knows the program and what it means to be a Hawkeye. Look how he developed Proctor. Took the line 5 games to gel but look at how he managed to coach up a slightly above average line full of future first rounders.”

You all are fucking crazy if you don’t think this is going to end badly. Best thing for the program is that it has one less Ferentz and when Kirk retires, it gets a fresh start. That doesn’t happen if his asshole progeny is in the building.

The play I queued up I've watched about 5 times (6:22). Next year I want an offense that at least has the potential to do something like it. For three years we've been deprived of such spontaneity, elusivity, and D1-level accuracy.

Even a loser program like ISU fired their OC. Would be a total slap in the face to the entire fan base if Bri is back

I thought it would be Gary Garta who wanted to continue with BriDawg, but turns out it was IowaFan all along.

The call is coming from inside the house!
I’m too lazy to look it up. During Brian’s dominant run as OL coach, where did Iowa rank in terms of rushing offense? Must have been tops in the BT, right?

Edit:

Rushing Offense under Bri:

2012 - 12th
2013 - 6th
2014 - 7th
2015 - 5th
2016 - 8th

I figured it was going to be a play from Utah. They have to be the dream, right?

Fairly balanced, power, zone blocking.

Iowa isn't going to resemble a Lincoln Riley offense.

Brian is a program cancer and instead of cutting him out, people are in favor of slathering him with horse de-wormer.
Absolutely nobody is in favor of that. Who is advocating for Brian to stay on staff?

As the moderator of another site told me when I expressed concern that Iowa wasn't aggressively pursuing a portal big to protect the rim for this year's basketball team......
