I put it in the other thread, and while this sucks, it isn't the worst thing. Jacobs couldn't ever stay healthy. He also wasn't all that great when he did play. They also can still get others to replace him.

Jacobs was awesome in the 2021 ISU game. He really fell off the last half of last season.

I would still prefer he return for his senior season at Iowa.

Replacing a defensive upperclassman from Iowa may not be quite as easy as you think.

I have a feeling that the level of coaching Jacobs received while here may be better than just about any other school we might get a kid from.
