Let me clear the air in that a tavern hawk remains anyone who did not get their undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa yet claims the Hawkeyes as their preferred athletic team. My and all undergraduates connection to the university and their athletic programs will always remain superior.

Tavern Hawks disgust me.

To me, those that don’t get their as to Kinnick are tavern hawks (me included).

Those that aren’t gears but merely fans of us are Fauxhawks.
