No tickets yet, but me and my two brothers chose this as our yearly road trip. Baseball in Chicago Tuesday, Detroit Friday, and a Hawkeye beatdown Saturday in Ann Arbor, with sight-seeing in between.

Went to Ann Arbor in 2004 and 2006, and while large, mostly unimpressed with the stadium. I have heard the experience is improved, and expect the outcome as well.

This was my first trip to Ann Arbor. Hoping Saturday for the second trip goes better.

Have to scheme up the run game to work in this one. ISU wasn't getting a lot of penetration, but threw stunts at the OL they were unprepared for - that can't happen Saturday. RB's need to do a better job of finding the hole when running lanes are tight, stick with the hot hand at RB - that would include giving Jackson looks for me if your other guys are averaging 2-3 YPC. Hank needs to hit a couple of deep balls to back the defense off, including some TE action over the middle to slow LB's down.

I've got faith that Phil can hold them to 17-24 points so it's a winnable game if the offense can put it together. I'm a little worried about DE play here, expect Underwood to run the ball a lot in this one, Epenesa/Merriewether are going to need to play well - edge contain has to be there. DST TD in this one would be huge.

Lauck is such a luxury to have at LT. Dotzler hasn't really stood out as a liability. Our guard combo is likely top 5 in the nation. Winter seems fine. They probably are going to have to blitz to get consistent pressure unless Dotzler proves overmatched.

Oklahoma was destroying Michigan with their TE most of the game until they just stopped going to him on the last 2 drives. This is a game where DJV could be a superstar.

Phil’s going to have to do what it takes to make Umderwood beat us with his arm. More corners on islands than usual.

probably a lot of 3 LB in this one - and much to my chagrin and surprise (apologies to Jaden Montgomery) I think there may be a significant drop off after the first 2

I'll never forget Oliver Martin bouncing right up without even glancing at the ref standing next to him after getting absolutely mauled in the end zone with the ball in the air. It drives me a little crazy that Ferentz frowns upon players complaining to the refs. Especially in PI situations, where the refs are often looking for the WR's reaction. That game would have been entirely different if Iowa had first and goal at the 1.
