Yeah, if you look at his timeline it's not a bad late signing at the time. Dembele had offers from Wake, Depaul, Xavier, Pitt and then in late October got an offer from Iowa and visited a week later on Oct. 28th. He also got offers from Rutgers and Wake Forest a few days later.

He committed 2 weeks later and signed a few days after that.

I really dislike Krikke, but I don't understand what anyone sees in Dembele. He rebounds almost as poorly as Krikke, has one of the worst eFG% on the team, the worst assist/TO ratio and fouls almost twice as much as anyone else in the rotation. His oRtg is the worst of any rotation player in the Fran era at Iowa. He is not a useful player.
