Upon further thought they lost on the road against a relatively dangerous team that’s better than their record. by 3 points traveling half way across the country. Night game pacific time

5th string QB. 3rd and 4th string TE, and best LB didn’t play the 2nd half.

it sucks but it’s hard to get “mad”.

I would like to thank Brendan Sullivan for some of the best QB highlights of the last several years during his (now completed) two game season.

This team that is "fun" to watch would fair worse in those games. Much worse. The defense last year would compete until they couldn't anymore because of the offense.
I think my argument is the following: it's awesome having a great defense, and it's awesome to win more games, but ultimately it's entertainment. I'm not 19 years old and living on campus anymore. I make it to a game once in a blue moon. I wish I could get to more, but mostly I'm just watching on TV, and I'm watching way more exciting football on every other channel all day long. I watch every game, but the last 8ish years have been pretty rough to watch despite the overall record.

With no divisions now in the B10, those rough years are gonna get even rougher. I'm glad we have a spark on offense now, even if the defense has clearly taken a step back. It's more entertaining.

Maybe, but the 10 teams Iowa beat last year were really fucking shitty for the most part. Who cares though, the guys this year clearly are playing different and not with nearly the same fire on the road.

The only really inexcusable loss is ISU. Beat them in Kinnick and their season derails a lot sooner and it’s really funny. They lose to an Iowa team with a “mid” defense and a bunch of cast-offs at QB learning a new system. It would have been great.

The Iowa team that played Wisconsin last week blows them off the field by at least 2 scores.

Oh well. Just win the next 2 games and get a bowl opponent they can bully and Iowas record is commensurate with the circumstances. Fun if slightly disappointing season.

Spoiler alert - the rest of the season isn't likely to be that fun and Cade will absolutely 1000% be the starter for the final 3 games with Sullivan doing his old role of red zone QB if he is healthy enough.

I think Kaleb Johnson will play the last 2 regular season games, but wouldn't be completely shocked if he shuts it down or runs very carefully in those games. He already got the Iowa TD record, but he has no shot at the major awards and 2,000 yards isn't happening either.

yeah, UCLA is probably better and it was on the road

Didn't UCLA have a lot of players out?

Your tavern nature disgusts me.
