Again, I'll just point out they have nearly TWENTY MILLION DOLLARS PER YEAR in coaching and analyst salary. This includes the guy somewhat responsible for Peyton Manning and Tom Brady. This includes multiple former FBS head coaches, high level NFL experience and more.

With all that firepower, they are literally the only team in the entirety of college football that can't make a QB decision leading into opening week. It's embarrassing and they should feel great shame, but this is also the guy that has lost the last 3 out of 4 games to Iowa State.

Extreme heat warning extended through Saturday. Forecast high of 92, so pretty similar to today.

I fear it’s going to take losing a game they absolutely shouldn’t before anything gets settled

I'm pretty sure they can win the first 3 games without a QB at all, but the bigger thing is do they not only get smoked in that terrible 3 game stretch, but do you then head up after a bye week to Minnesota with the QB situation perhaps worse than ever and get smacked around in that game as well.

Going 3-4 over the first 7 is a pretty good possibility and then you get a wildcard Wisconsin looking for some payback the next game. Then you are looking at scratching out 5-5 against Northwestern and Purdue before you're playing for a bowl game and to avoid your first losing season since 2012 when you have to go @Illinois and finish off at home against Nebrantska desperate to beat you.

Season is OVER, boyz!!!!!!!!!!

I want Heck to start but at this point I'm not going to get creased if Hank trots out there first. I'm excited for Hawkeye football and fully expect both qbs to get a chance to show who should start.

Like at kid’s day? That doesn’t mean it will provide any clarity to Kirk.
Eh, I see why you would say that. But game results mean a lot more than kids day. Kirk hates kids day, I suspect. I've pointed out before, Kirk eventually makes the right qb decision. Typically, fans armchair quarterback it after the fact and complain it should have happened sooner.

If I was at this game and Hank came out for the opening possession, I would boo

He more than likely sucked when healthy as well. His warts were covered up by elite skill positions around him. Similar to the man that @Lee Beevers fantasizes about daily....JJ McCarthy.
Cade sucked when healthy @ Michigan as well.

I have close friends with deeeep ties to UM football, they were rythmic slapping me in my Texts , making fun of Iowa Football the day/week Cade signed at Iowa, letting me know how shit he was at Michigan, in practices, everything, letting me know we got a shit QB.

I pushed back on them a bit with the standard "hmm, I guess we'll see!" "Excited he came to Iowa!" type stuff at the time, hoping for the best from our new QB.

Didn't take me long to learn they were right.

Cade McNamara is the 2nd most egregious University of Iowa thief of my lifetime. #1 is still Todd The Criminal
