You should be able to delete your own posts. Mods can delete anyone's posts but I've seen plenty of people here delete their own.

When I came back to board two months ago after a hiatus of nearly a year and a half, I told myself I would stop, or at least significantly reduce, my engagement with dipshit trolls. Part of that is to not even acknowledge them, because acknowledgement provides them with fuel. So after posting that reply I remembered my agreement with myself and deleted it within a couple minutes, thinking no one saw it. But, I was wrong, and since you basically just rewrote my post I might as well have left it.

I want to thank @Mr. Hawk for giving me the power to delete posts.
