Missouri hasn't really played anyone other than Kansas, which also blew them out.

They appear to kind of suck

After the new year we are going to really find out how good every team is with the Big Ten schedule starting.

Like I have a feeling 12-1 USC is actually super mediocre. UCLA is decent to good, but not great. Wisconsin will somehow be better than expected. Illinois is like a typical Fran team; soft, but can beat or lose to anyone depending on whether or not they are hitting from outside.

Washington is average. Oregon sucks. Hopefully we win both on that West coast trip

They have to stop this shit immediately in the offseason. 2023 NBA Draft pick, played pro in Europe for 3 years and summer league for the Knicks. NCAA has lost their minds. Grow a fucking spine.

This is the 4th school to do this now,, it's going to set off an arms race in the next few weeks to sign any similar player.

Played in an actual NBA game 3 weeks ago. Hasn’t officially been ruled eligible yet.

If you can play in an NBA game and college game in a single season, tear it down and professionalize it entirely. This is idiotic.
What I've been saying

Franchises that pay the universities for logo and facility use, or make them university employees.

The latter. The franchise model doesn’t make any sense outside a handful of programs. But make them employees and collectively bargain.

I can't see how he ever would be eligible, but each day the NCAA surprises us with how stupid they can be
every time the NCAA has tried to draw a line, a member or athlete has sued. their record in court isn't very good at this point.

Boundaries will continue to get pushed more and more ridiculously until there’s collective bargaining.

Someone joked about it, but why can't Lebron James play at this point? It makes about as much sense as this most recent one.

If I didn't know better, I would think that the NCAA and powers that be are intentionally letting shit like this happen so the outrage grows and we get to collective bargaining much quicker.

There is no one to collective bargain with at this point and we are years from players unionizing

Right, that is the part I think where the acceleration comes in, but why would the players even want that now?

some sort of collective bargaining is the only thing that can save college sports, but the players have no incentive to unionize and the schools pushing the boundaries have no incentive to stop pushing the boundaries. So in the mean time, college sports are going to get worse (or keep changing relative to what we knew) for the foreseeable future.

Any chance stuff gets rolled back? Like unlimited transfers, where the money can come from, how much you can make, etc…?

I don’t even know if CB solves it. You’d still probably have outside NIL that dwarfs collectively bargained salaries. And I’m not sure standardized contracts for all with multi-year terms and ineligibility penalties for breach is realistically feasible. I guess you sorta have that in the NFL for rookie contracts, but the draft makes it possible.

Pretty unlikely imo. The shit is out of the horse.
