I wouldn’t be shocked to see more teams schedule games like this in late February moving forward. The familiarity/grind of conference games is different than the tournament so this almost works as a mental adjustment to a 1 game scenario.

I saw this morning that they even did open to the public shoot around sessions like at the tourney. Great experience to prepare.

I’m struggling to give much of a fuck about the BTT. I get the single/double/triple bye factor, but the whole tournament just doesn’t really matter. In theory a game or two can move you up or down a seed in the dance, but you shouldn’t really be holding your breath for a great draw in the conference fucking tournament.

It seems historically the committee usually watches up to the Friday games and the weekend semifinals and final make no difference in the final seeding
