Not to piss @castichawk24 off and look ahead too far, but Iowa has 8 mediocre/shitty teams mixed in with a game @Rutgers and a game at home against Michigan State in the next 10 games.

They can/should be no worse than 8-2 over that stretch. I think they can realistically be 9-1 and 15-2 going into the Illinois game.

I’m a little nervous too. Painter knows exactly what to do against Fran. Ultimately we’re playing at home so I expect us to outshoot them.

Garza thinks the number that Painter has of Frans is irrelevant and can fuck right off.

Last four haven’t been pretty. Time to put an end to that.

3/3/20 - Purdue 77-68 in IC
2/5/20 - Purdue 104-68 in WL
1/3/19 - Purdue 86-70 in WL
1/20/18 - Purdue 87-64 in IC

The 2018 game was brutal. Chris Street reunion and everything was awesome about that weekend other than the game. Down 51-20 at halftime. Woof.

Painter has had Iowa’s number in the past, but I don’t really think any of that matters. This is a different team than we have ever had under Fran. They’ll be ready and I think they’re a lock to cover that -6 personally.

This could be an NBA game on the scoreboard if Iowa's shooting percentages are at their normal rates and PU shoots the ball as if their life depends on it like last year.

the odds of Purdue shooting that well again are under 51% but over 49%

Purdue in BB = Northwestern in FB

I'm excited to turn that around for a few years.

This is a huge game.

For me a piece of the regular season title is the goal of the year. So many good Hawkeye teams, players, and near misses make 1979 such an irritating fact. Good start is available with the schedule but an immediate slip up at home would be .... shitty and a bad omen.

Hyperbole of course, but I'm almost happy they lost to the Zags. Undefeated Natty would've been nice, but unlikely to win em all and humbled and hungry can be good for college kid's performance.

Luka shut out against the Boilers, beat by an average of 20 the last 4 games. He'll be the driving force early and then JBo and the boys make it rain.

Bet the over, Hawks roll.

I don't mean to sound contrarian, but I do actually wish Iowa had beaten the #1 team in the country.

Iowa had a much worse team, wasn't nearly as deep and was constantly banged up and short handed last year.

Even with that, they lost 2 games at home. 2 games the entire season.

Lol. I mean, it's fucking basketball but it took one fucking loss to the #1 team and here we go with the freaking out.
I think it may be that people have a bad feeling about Purdue. I, in the other hand, have no sense of time with regards to basketball and feel as though we’re just coming off that year we beat them twice in two weeks with the Uthoff and the Poker, so I am absurdly confident about this game.
