Is this going to be the worst rebounding and defensive team in Fran history? The portal guy they got is unathletic and can't play defense or rebound, but can score. The returning roster is all part of one of the worst defensive Iowa teams in a long time. Freeman is a freshman, and like all big men he likely needs a couple years until he is up to speed. Maybe the kid from New Jersey can rebound, but he is also a Freshman.

The defense will be noticeably worse, which is almost impossible, but here we are.

Patrick is going to be ready for his junior year, and Fran is going to make sure he has him play 30+ minutes this year so he can finish off his illustrious career as a senior in 2024-2025.
