Great great great great win for the purple and gold. UNI pretty much controlled the game from start to finish.

This is a huge win for a Division II team. Congrats UNI.

That would be a huge win for a Division II team. Imagine if a Division II team had been playing ISU last night. Unfortunately, a Division I team was.

Call it whatever you want. I-AA, Football Subdivision (talk about lipstick on a pig), Kinda Like the Larger Schools but Different league (KLLSDL), etc.

If they don't have the same number of scholarships, and aren't bowl eligible, they aren't Division I football. This takes nothing away from their victory last night.

The Chizik era looks good so far.
Iowa would beat UNI by 20-25 points, that being said Iowa State will play out of their heads next week.

I think Iowa would beat them by 30+.

The NCAA disagrees.[/quote

Mistakes sometimes = mistakes always?

In that case, being wrong in this thread = being wrong always?

This is going to make debating you much easier.

zap tries very hard, and succeeds btw, to look like a jackass anytime 1-AA football comes up. Congratulations once again.

I doubt UNI would lose to Iowa by 30+.

They'd lose by plenty, but not that much.

Of course, The Game doesn't know $hit about 1-AA football either.

I love my alma mater and all, but UNI would have their hands full with the Hawks.

I'm as big a UNI guy as there is, but I totally agree.

Take the 'best' UNI team from the Title Game run a couple years ago, late in the year when they were just lights out, against some of the below average Iowa teams early in the Ferentz era (or late last regular season) and I think you'd have a hell of a football game (and in the dome, lookout), but otherwise no.

Iowa (ISU should) has a huge advantage in resources (facilities and scholorships)...unlike ISU, Iowa uses that advantage.

Such as 45-21 when Iowa scored a late TD?

UNI would beat Syracuse, so 30+ is too much. But, who cares really? All that matters is the conference season.

This thread needed to be revisited.

How much things change after a long Saturday afternoon.

And people from ISU say this isn't their Super Bowl
