Northwestern is #30 in defense on kempom.

Jordan bohannon is ranked #2173 out of 2173 eligible players in giving a fuck.

It's pretty crazy that the Carver crowd has been old as fuck for so long.

I would probably stain a few backs if jbo pulled that shit in Des Moines vs Iowa state in the tournament.

So many delicious tears.

That (seemingly) never happens for Iowa!!!! And I've already mentally erased the first 36 minutes, so:

That was so fucking awesome! That's my kids first buzzer beater win. So much fun to have that! Wow! bohannon is rocketing up my list!
My son got up and stumbled in with a 105 degree fever to see that.
Yeesh. Hope he gets to feeling better, Horal.
Daughter just went through the same. You’d think it could overlap but instead will drag on for two weeks through all of us.

Literally ever play Iowa made down the stretch was the right play. Didn’t force any 3’s unless you count bohannon at the end. Even Moss had a nice drive and floater. Forced NW to make free throws which they only missed 2.

Whatever NW did defensively on that last possession was hilariously bad. They left bohannon to double Cook allowing Jordan an easy catch and dribble. You’d think Cook or Moss is where they would want the ball to go.

It's nice to be so multidimensional on offense

Connor made a 3 tonight. He also air balled one. I’m just happy he tries to shoot.

These are games that good teams pull out even when they play like shit. Iowa hasn't been able to do that, but this year they are elite offensively.

It was a bad night until the last 4 minutes. It is no surprise once they made 7 shots in a row their defense suddenly got better as well.

I really didn't think it was that bad. Gaines had to shade towards cook for an extra split second to not give up the easy lob. Golden State has Curry set screens all the time for that very reason. It's incredibly hard to cover.

Can’t think of a higher degree of difficulty walkoff shot for the hawks in my lifetime.

I would have bet $1M that Vic Law was going to break out of his slump. I would have then taken those winnings and bet everything that Moss was going to fuck it all up with that drive.

It was a tough shot, it's obvious that he has put in the time and taken hundreds of thousands of jump shots over the years. It's paying off for him and his team.

Iowa scored 80 and had a 6 minute stretch where they scored like 3 points.

Was trying to think of Iowa buzzer beating wins....Recker’s in the btt. Gamble vs Oklahoma, although OU got an inbounds play after. Who else? Seems like Horner hit one, but I’m drawing blanks.

James Moses at Indiana immediately comes to mind.

Jarryd Cole hit a layup to beat KSU in Vegas IIRC. Woodbury in the NCAA tourney. Marble hit one against TN in the play in game that wasn’t a buzzer beater but sent it to OT, right?

I know this is an exaggeration, but it cracks me up every single time Iowa does something great late in the game and watching the coaches. Every single time the reaction is the exact same from every single one....

Fran - stands stoic trying to copy Larry Bird and show nearly no emotion
Dillard - jumps up excited with both fists and catches himself realizing he should waive his arms and tell the players to get back on defense
Speraw - celebrates for a half second, sort of tries to grab Fran to tell him something and screams at everyone to get back
Francis - is the most dramatic and angry screaming and waving frantically for players to get back on defense even if the ball is already dead
Siebert - is down in the last 3rd of the bench and celebrates like a player for a few seconds

Francis is by far the worst and makes me want to slap him every time. Shut up you fucking dork.

Cyrus Tate hit the shot in Vegas.
