Biggest concern about this team is defense. bohannon is better than I ever would have guessed offensively, but the other PG gonna get by him regularly. Hoping Cook and Garza can help when needed.

I will not DMOFR but I'm assuming we've finished higher than the media prediction in a majority of the past years. Iowa is pretty easy to overlook, "Oh they lost Jok, so they're going to suck".

I thought they played much more as a team and were more dangerous overall when Jok was off the court. I'm expecting BIG things this year boyzzzzzz.

How bout getting our first piece of a title since 79? Could happen. I know MSU Purdue Minny are gonna be tough, and pretty much everybody is gonna be damn good, but with the schedule, and the blinders of a fanatic.....1979 is a stat that bums me out, counting on these guys to get rid of it one of the next 3 years. This year works for me. Learn and grow, then maybe we start looking at the '80 stat, and even the never stat. Yeah, caution and realism ain't really where I'm at with these guys right now.

I still suspect Connor's gonna play. Will be excited to see it if CW or Brady or Maishe make him a luxury. But if practice is showing we're better now with him playing, gotta think it happens.

After seeing Fran's quotes from yesterday, thinking front line will be Garza Cook and Pemsl. When Tyler came back from the finger, he and Pemsl both started and I thought it would last 100 games or so. They just didn't play well together for a variety of reasons, but they might have it figured out.

The one Europe game that was streamed Baer looked so good its ridiculous. But he's so awesome off the bench (Fran's quotes again), finishing minutes are what really matter, and we just might be better team that way. And how bout a 3 time 6th man of the year? Doubt that's ever happened anywhere. Hondo Baer?

As far as mainstream college hoops writer go.... Rothstein is consistently a voice of reason and sifts through the bullshit. Generally speaking pretty fair to Iowa and knowledgable. I remember last season he was always talking up Jordan and Baer.
