What? You're fucking dumb.Could there be anything more to the timing of Connors “injury”? Doubtful, but the conspiracy theory side of me wonders if Fran looked at his roster and said “i have way too many guys.”

Why does that look curious. He rolled his ankle, that has been confirmed and it is confirmed he is back on Thursday most likely.I dunno, plays half the game in both exhibitions, suddenly has a minor injury that no one has any detail on, and he misses the first two games.
As I said, doubtful, but it just looked a little curious.

Nothing you said there makes any sense.

Playing basketball, dumbass. Yeah, Fran looked at his roster and said Connor, fake an injury for the guys and trainers and Bobby Hanson to see, attend the game Friday looking like you're moving a little tenderly, to not so much Sunday, so I can lie about you probably playing Thursday. How did he roll his ankle? Why does that look curious. Watch Connor and learn, you'll get to because he's our backup point guard, period. He's perfect for Fran's system, and he's been running it since he was 10. The system has a central role for the point guard. Bryce was pretty good at it, Mikey was good at it, JBo is at least good at it.
Head up always, make the pass if available, push the ball to the right place to stress the defense and/or initiate offense if in motion, if in a set get the ball to the right place at the right time, make the post feed when its available, be aware of clock if necessary, and don't turn it over. All the things CW couldn't do.

I’m not sure what this rant is about considering I’ve been one of Connors biggest fans.Playing basketball, dumbass. I read an article not long that says he will do a few hours a week within the baseball offseason regiment even during basketball season. If Heller put him through a baseball workout, he needs to be fired ASAP.
near the end of that almost-rager-inducing article, these words kill all joy: "The last time Iowa had two freshmen score in double figures in their first games came in 2009-10. Eric May scored 13 points and Cully Payne 12 against Texas-San Antonio."Thats some size around the rim
I bet Iowa only scored 25 points in that game.near the end of that almost-rager-inducing article, these words kill all joy: "The last time Iowa had two freshmen score in double figures in their first games came in 2009-10. He was so pissed when Iowa stopped recruiting him.
Iowa is in on this guy for a while -- assume Illinois and Northwestern will be all over him. He did really well in his two years @ Dartmouth.
LOL at this quote. He was so pissed when Iowa stopped recruiting him.

That's odd phrasing for someone to use. It does come off as sour grapes.LOL at this quote. He was so pissed when Iowa stopped recruiting him.

He's a volume guy. Average shooter who dominates his team's possessions. Listed as a good DR though.I am only looking at his traditional stats, and at first glance they look great at 17.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game, but @castichawk24 or @HiawathaHawk could speak to his advanced stats.
With that said, he doesn't shoot a great percentage and seemed to struggle when they actually played better competition. Dartmouth was also terrible finishing 7-20 and #304 in RPI and #305 in KenPom. They were 10-18 his freshman year. No wonder he wants to graduate and go somewhere else for 2 years.
Not a direct report, but you could tell what happened from his comments and other factors. He was recruited hard by Iowa from his freshman year and think they wanted him to commit pretty early, but he was convinced he was going to have better offers and flirted with Michigan and others for a while. Was it ever reported what happened there?
Swooping an Ivy League degree and transferring somewhere else to play for two years ain’t bad.I am only looking at his traditional stats, and at first glance they look great at 17.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game, but @castichawk24 or @HiawathaHawk could speak to his advanced stats.

Probably was able to come in and play well at Dartmouth given the conference and overcome his natural abilities given the level of competition. With his Lake Forest upbringing and his ability to take it outside and shoot from 3, would think Northwestern might be a better fit than Illinois. Not suggesting he's gonna be a rainmaker for anyone at the Big level. But we had so much dialog about him and his awkward recruitment figured it was relevant to share this...and as I mentioned, personally wouldn't be surprised if he ends up at one of those two schools. I don't think you leave Dartmouth and then go mid major, but who knows given how bad Dartmouth was while he was there.Watching a few of his college highlights and he might be 6'6'' and is effective because he is smart and that is still tall enough to be a post against Ivy league talent. Sort of Charles Barkley with zero athleticism. Lots of posting up similar sized players and then facing up and ball fake.
Decent player, but would be shocked if he had any real success at a high major. Mediocre post players in the Big Ten would be way too tall and athletic for him.
Yes there was a lot of msg board excitement, but I think most of that had to do with Fran opening up Chicago for the first time. I think people were more interested in the concept that a Chicago pipeline was starting to form more than they were about a specific player...especially since that meant that Illinois and Northwestern weren't getting those kids.Wasn’t he one of like 3-4 guys from Chicago we were all excited about when they were juniors? Maybe it was someone else with him but I remember being excited about the prospects of him and Hutton together.
That list. Geez. Only Moss still at his first school!Yes there was a lot of msg board excitement, but I think most of that had to do with Fran opening up Chicago for the first time. So this included kids like Hutton, Moss, Ed Morrow, Charlie Moore, and Evan B.
Like Mikey said, he was a volume scorer. and his efficiency wasn't great His % of possessions used and shots taken ranked 72nd and 71st in the country. Also played 83% of their minutes so his per game stats. Put up really good numbers in conference.I am only looking at his traditional stats, and at first glance they look great at 17.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game, but @castichawk24 or @HiawathaHawk could speak to his advanced stats.
