Dailey and Ellingson in pitch battle for playing time backing up Moss, both against each other and against the overall healthy team level of play with both JBo and Baer capable of playing minutes at the 2.

We'll start to find out against Wyoming and hopefully Cincinnati. Won't learn more against KenPom 345 (after dispatching 340 and 334) except they both would be stars at a lower level.

Div. II William Jewell is the best opponent we've seen so far in Carver.

Watch Connor and learn, you'll get to because he's our backup point guard, period. He's perfect for Fran's system, and he's been running it since he was 10. The system has a central role for the point guard. Bryce was pretty good at it, Mikey was good at it, JBo is at least good at it.

Head up always, make the pass if available, push the ball to the right place to stress the defense and/or initiate offense if in motion, if in a set get the ball to the right place at the right time, make the post feed when its available, be aware of clock if necessary, and don't turn it over. I am only looking at his traditional stats, and at first glance they look great at 17.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game, but @castichawk24 or @HiawathaHawk could speak to his advanced stats.

With that said, he doesn't shoot a great percentage and seemed to struggle when they actually played better competition. Dartmouth was also terrible finishing 7-20 and #304 in RPI and #305 in KenPom. They were 10-18 his freshman year. No wonder he wants to graduate and go somewhere else for 2 years.

He's a volume guy. Average shooter who dominates his team's possessions. Listed as a good DR though.

Not a direct report, but you could tell what happened from his comments and other factors. He was recruited hard by Iowa from his freshman year and think they wanted him to commit pretty early, but he was convinced he was going to have better offers and flirted with Michigan and others for a while.

Then he never grew and seemed to have the athleticism and height of McCabe if he had ever been in shape. Nearly everyone backed off him and I think Iowa was one of the last ones and he gave that pissed response and picked Dartmouth.

With his Lake Forest upbringing and his ability to take it outside and shoot from 3, would think Northwestern might be a better fit than Illinois. Not suggesting he's gonna be a rainmaker for anyone at the Big level. But we had so much dialog about him and his awkward recruitment figured it was relevant to share this...and as I mentioned, personally wouldn't be surprised if he ends up at one of those two schools. I don't think you leave Dartmouth and then go mid major, but who knows given how bad Dartmouth was while he was there.

Like Mikey said, he was a volume scorer. and his efficiency wasn't great His % of possessions used and shots taken ranked 72nd and 71st in the country. Also played 83% of their minutes so his per game stats. Put up really good numbers in conference.

KenPom uses tiers for opponent strength. Tier A represents top 50 opponents, Tier B represents top 100, both are adjusted for location. In 7 Tier A+B games last year he had an offensive rating of 92.7 which isn't good. For reference, Williams was our only guy below 95 for the season last year. He still shot well from 2 and drew a good amount of fouls while being a really good defensive rebounder. Lots of turnovers, hardly any assists or offensive boards which could be a style thing.
