Not to mention the clueless portion of the fan base that continues to want Fran fired because he hasn't gotten us to the "next level." I wouldn't give him a pass. He got on Twitter and reacted in a way that was pretty poor. He obviously had a discussion with someone about it, made an appropriate apology, and now it's a non-story. Good learning experience for him. And kudos to whoever helped him through the process.

FTR, I hate social media - it gives people pulpits that shouldn't have them. And it amplifies mistakes that good people make to an outrage level. Our society is much worse off because of social media.
