For a 5 star and ranked 23, Wigginton's offer list is not that impressive. Garza has a better list of offers IMORivals final Top 150 released today: https://n.rivals.com/prospect_rankings/rivals150/2017
Garza 4* 107

Garza definitely has a better offer list than his ranking (being almost 7 feet tall obviously helps) but Wigginton's is pretty dang good. Bunch of good west coast schools (most notably Arizona) plus Louisville and Texas. For a 5 star and ranked 23, Wigginton's offer list is not that impressive. What's the pitch to get him to Ames without any Iowa ties? "You're going to be the new Monte Morris. Look at how we developed him and now he graduates and you take his place / start immediately?"For a 5 star and ranked 23, Wigginton's offer list is not that impressive. Pretty much. With a little Cam Payne and Isaiah Canaan sprinkled in. Plus a Canadian connection with Ejim and Long. It's a small basketball community. Long and Ejim both played for CIA Bounce which is the top AAU team. Wigginton decided to go to the states to Oak Hill but certainly there's a connection. And they've all played on various Canadian national teams.

Also, who cares. We got some pretty great players which are all rated in the top 150.Let's not try and downgrade Iowa State getting a Top 25 player. That is a good pick up for them no matter who it is. Don't sound like Iowa State fans.

Sure it's good for them but will he be able to carry them all by himself? Even Markelle Fultz couldn't. I feel much more comfortable with Iowa's situation.Let's not try and downgrade Iowa State getting a Top 25 player. That is a good pick up for them no matter who it is. Yeah, it's a mystery how anyone can play two talented guards at one time.Best case scenario for Wiggington is one and done.
I do wonder how much he and Jackson can actually co-exist on the floor.
ISU apparently still hasn't gotten the memo you can play guys taller than 6'5".

I don't want to take away from the good work done by Jeremiah Davis, so you should just listen to the whole thing. One takeaway: Fran saying that Connor McCaffery will probably play baseball exclusively next year and could end up in prep school

Fuck your self.one less tweener who struggles on defense
best call for all involved, really
Seems like a bad deal for Iowa basketball fans who would like a 4* guard on their team.It really isn't a bad deal for anyone involved. He seems to love baseball, is pretty damn good at it and has wanted to concentrate on it full time for years. He can go to prep school, play baseball and see how that goes. If he does great, then he can pursue it exclusively and have a chance to make a career. If it doesn't or he wants to play basketball he can always walk-on or grab a scholarship and play basketball in a couple years.
if his heart isn't in basketball, it's best he tries another sportSeems like a bad deal for Iowa basketball fans who would like a 4* guard on their team.
His rankings have been steady for 2 1/2 years. ESPN had him ranked high as a freshman, that was it.if his heart isn't in basketball, it's best he tries another sportSeems like a bad deal for Iowa basketball fans who would like a 4* guard on their team.
his ranking/performances against elite peers declined each year since his freshman year
he doesn't have a clear position
I'd rather see him as backup pg than williams, but I'd rather not see him try to cover Big Ten pgs and sgs, or athletic sfs. He didn't develop as anticipated, and doesn't have a clear slot when you consider the current roster (and with future five star wieskamp coming in, you have to question how much time he'd see at the 2 or 3 down the road).
there is still a problem with pg depth; sg will be so-so until wieskamp hits campus: however, as well-rated as connor is, he wasn't going to be the answer to either problem.
He is a good player, but it is clear he wants to play baseball full time and give it a shot.Seems like a bad deal for Iowa basketball fans who would like a 4* guard on their team.It really isn't a bad deal for anyone involved. We saw Sapp recover after a bum sophomore season, so here's to hoping something clicks for Williams this off season. He is a good player, but it is clear he wants to play baseball full time and give it a shot.Seems like a bad deal for Iowa basketball fans who would like a 4* guard on their team.It really isn't a bad deal for anyone involved. I want Williams to get another shot as well. He hasn't been good, but he did have back issues that significantly affected him. He has shown flashes and is a 6'6'' guard that can defend and might actually get better.
