I’m kind of wondering what Nunge’s career arc looks like at Iowa...wondering where he fits in, or how good he can be as he develops

I feel like Nunge has a chance to be like one of those annoying Michigan State white guys they always have. Solid on the block, get some boards, make threes, look goofy and out of place.

I think Nunge’s upside is top 5 on this team. He’ll end up being really good IMO.

I thought he looked very comfortable at either of the two post positions last year and totally out of it at SF. He has a nice looking shot and can jump.

Didn't Nunge originally start ahead of Garza? He had to impress someone. He's obviously not a SF but I still think he will be good.

Maybe I'm thinking too much into it but Fran has said in the past that he's not really a fan of the redshirt. I don't think he would redshirt an average player in his 2nd year. I think he sees the potential and didn't want to waste a year behind cook.

Nunge is going to be a good one. He will hopefully get his body where it needs to be so he can play as he should as a stretch 4 next year. Fran playing him on the wing was dumb but he started a good deal of games his first year.

This is a long term play by Fran

This is kind of my question. He seems best as a stretch 4....but totally out of position as a wing or a 5

I’m wondering how that effects his ability to be used in different lineups

Nothing Wade loves more than telling people he knows something that he can't tell them.

I am told that Tyler needs surgery. I checked with two separate people before posting. I don’t know details but doesn’t sound good.

Didn't he have x-rays at the game ruling out a fracture? If surgery is needed it would be for ligament or tendon damage?

It’s going to be fine. Lots of slapdicks said Iowa is better without him.

Bring it in!

That was my understanding.

I had something called a Brostrom procedure to reattach my ATL and it was several months of rehab.

It would seem odd to hurt tendons on an ankle roll but who knows. The biggest thing for me was that the injury tore off cartilage that they had to scope into addition to the ligament reattachment.

Has Tom said any more than this?

Tyler's going to be out for a while. Tough news. Those questioning his toughness and saying he's being overly dramatic in this thread, incorrect.

Also is Tyler still a pussy or does this news change that? Got spreadsheets that need updating.

8 weeks from today is the last regular season game. Kakert is saying it will be an extended absence. Hope for 4-6 weeks somehow I guess.

Went from having too many bigs to relying on Kriener for 20-25 minutes and needing Till to contribute.

The things that would require surgery would most likely be a complete ATFL tear (he wouldn’t be walking on that), a syndesmosis injury, or a midfoot injury (Lis Franc). Highly unlikely this would just be a scope.

It’s not really my fault that you don’t know shit.
He's right though. You post about the Hawks like a 50 year old lady trying to let all the other ladies at church know that she's heard some gossip.
What? I will basically give as much detail as I am comfortable giving. While this board requires registration enough people know me on this board that I don’t think it’s right to repeat unsubstantiated stuff.

He’s not coming back this season if it’s a lisfranc injury. L Wade played softball on an alvused ATFL, but maybe he’s tougher than TC. High ankle sprain would be the most hopeful for a return later in the year.

Just say "this is unsubstantiated" and then tell us the thing.

There are like fifty people on this whole fucking board and all of us know what "unsubstantiated" means.

My only hope is that with more minutes Kriener becomes less of a spaz and maybe lets the game come to him a bit. He has spurts where he looks capable but this sucks.
