Agreed. And throughout the summer practices, they will be figuring out what lineups work and what lineups don't. There will be a focus on building Joe T and Jordan's chemistry -- especially Jordan's comfort playing off the ball. During practices, I would expect Jordan only to play point if either Joe T or Ahron is out for a session.
Secondly, I anticipate a ton of Joe T / Ahron drive and kicks to a wide-open perimeter player (Jordan, Rebraca, Keegan, Kris, and Patrick). There is not going to be a big clogging the lane to post which will open up Joe T's and Ahron's ability to drive and kick. Even though you don't have pure shooters like Weiskamp, CJ, and Garza, there will still be a ton of pick and pop 3pts attempted by Keegan, Kris, and Rebraca. To some extent, I see Iowa's offense either living or dying by the 3pt and the volume of 3pts attempted to remain the same or go up. Either you are going to let Joe dribble by you and lay it in or you will have a wide-open player shooting a 3pt.
I think this will still be a 75+ points per game team which would have been good enough for Top 5 (in the conference) this season with improved defense due to length and athleticism. There are still going to be bonehead defensive lapses by players like Jordan and Patrick, but that's how it goes with Fran. 8-10 seed or a first 4 team. The conference is going to be a gauntlet next year with your likely top 6 (in random order): Michigan, Purdue, Ohio State, Maryland, Michigan State, and Illinois. The next tier will have Indiana, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Rutgers.
There are lots of minutes to be had and it's not going to be like last season where the core starters were playing 25-30 minutes per game so it should be a good opportunity for the young guys to grow. There will be plenty of minutes for Ahron and Tony.
