No. He isn't what I would call explosive, but he has much better feet than those two, and he is a solid looking athlete. I don't trust the coaches with QBs the way I trust them with most of the other positions, but they got a guy they liked enough to offer early.

Maybe? Stanley is his schools all time points leader in basketball and he is 6'4. I wouldn't be surprised if he could do some lame 2 handed dunks.

May’s vertical is 33”, and his forty and shuttle times are virtually identical to what Stanley ran at the combine. Stanley obviously had the benefit of four years of Iowa’s strength and conditioning program, plus more specific combine training. I think it’s fair to say May is a bit better athlete than Stanley, but they seem fairly similar in that regard.

If May ends up being a slightly more athletic Nate Stanley, with a bit more touch and a bit less arm strength, I’d be pretty okay with that.
