I’d be careful with that. This is Iowa City, not NYC and the Yankees Brother Thomas
Yes, after this season where word out of practice went from Spencer is good, to Alex is starting, and was wrong in multiple ways all season. NOW is when insiders have knowledge.

In all seriousness, what would be the "deadline" for Kirk’s son, Brian Ferentz to leave and go elsewhere without daddy needing to fire him? When is it "too late" to fire him as to not jeopardize the Iowa season? At some point if a change isn't made, are they stuck with him? We know daddy doesn't make changes during the season but in his eyes, when does that start? Spring practice? Sooner or later? You have a few new players on the offensive side of the ball. One being a QB and it seems like it would be difficult to make the change any later than right the fuck now for the sake of preparing for all the changes that Cade said he was promised. Everyday that passes leaves me feeling daddy's boy is here to stay.

What date did Kirk hire other replacement coordinators? When did greg Davis get the job? Looked it up, KOK left in late jan/early feb, gdgd came late feb.

I know most of the Petras shit is trolling, but I can imagine nothing worse for the SWARM collective than Iowa bringing in McNamara and then playing Petras over him. It just isn’t going to happen it Cade is healthy. It can’t.

We've seen Spencer look legitimately retarded consistently throughout his career. Cade, who has started in the CFP, could beat him out in the wheelchair from his photo

There are not any posters on hawkeyelounge.com that have any worthwhile insider information and are willing to share it here. That hs been demonstrated over and over, time and again.

So how much do you think they know about BF future at this point? Has KF spoken to OC candidates and said "Well my boy may get a new job, so we may hire you."? Do they wait and get stuck like trying to find a gal at bar close? We all know the later into the evening it gets, the less attractive the candidates. Then it becomes a promotion situation which seems less than ideal.

Also if that was the situation before, are we to believe that BF performance review will take until the end of January/early February to decide it was shitty? If daddy hasn't fired him by this point, I doubt he will and is hoping he can get this BFL job the InSiDeRs! tell us is coming. Then it will at least look as if it was a change by BF own making.

To be fair, I'm just trying to keep my own expectations in check. I am in no way coming at you, Alan. Your time frame gives me a little hope.

Don't you figure every single offensive recruit has been asking? I can't imagine that the uncertainty has helped recruiting.

I totally agree. The savior in a wheelchair told us to expect major changes. I just wonder when they are coming.

Fabby was entirely right. Due to Garta’s fecklessness, Kirk’s totally incompetent son is the real and only decision maker in this situation. Does he give fuck about his dad’s legacy enough to do the right thing? I suspect not, especially with Phil setting the floor where he does.

I love the BFL typo! I don’t know shit about fuck, and think everyone is closer to that than knowing anything important.

I don’t even think we know what matters to recruits or to coaches, or what Kirk actually does as his job. It seems coaches like coaching for Kirk, and the vast majority of players appreciate their time in his program. That’s the extent of what I’m fairly confident about as far as the inner workings of iowa football goes.

I feel confident that Brian is unpopular. He is an unlikeable, entitled, meathead douche. Which could all be mostly forgiven if he was good at his job. But he’s not.

I honestly wonder what players on offense thought about the "Whats the upside?" comment. True unfiltered opinion. That could be fun.

Yeah, I doubt they were real offended by suggesting we shouldn't necessarily replace a shitty QB with an even shittier one.

Probably best to not go down the road of who was the best turd in the bowl. It will only piss everyone off all over again. I imagine however there are players that would have liked to see a change simply to try. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result. That is all I was hinting at with the question.

I suspect quite a few college football players hate their coaches, and I generally would not care whether or not the players hated Kirk’s son, Kirk’s son, Brian Ferentz if he was good at his job.
i don’t know about all college players but I can speak from experience that this partially true. There are coaches you like and coaches you don’t. Football is unique, players have a lot of coaches to form opinions about. Most guys develop relationships with their position coaches. It’s rare for a player at that level to develop a close relationship with a head coach. They are basically CEOs who observe from a distance.

They (Garta and KF) are relying on BF to have the character to do the right thing and bail them out from having to make a tough but obvious decision, and he’s going to fail the test.

He's got to eat. And design more TE wildcat formations

One of KF’s sons has been fired.

Wonder what position he’ll be coaching here next season?
Is Steve married? Have kids? That will be a primary determining factor for the family business position working along side Kirk’s son, Brian Ferentz

NIL guy made a lengthy post about how the offense isn't that bad. Brian isn't going anywhere.
