Are you serious? The picture quality looks worse than pretty much anything else you'd see, and they have high school level broadcasters at times. It's a poor service. ESPN+ is far superior. Not just in the amount of content, picture quality, and platform, but in pretty much every way.

Well, I watch the games on a smallish TV so I guess I don’t notice the quality. But the entire purpose of the platform is to let undergraduate journalism majors get real experience, so I am completely fine with it.

My Dad follows Iowa basketball more than anything, including football. He watches or listens to every game, even keeping track of player scores for every game in a little notebook, going back 50+ years (yes, with newspaper, then later internet, totally unnecessary, but what he does).

He also is too technologically behind to do streaming, although somehow he can do Peacock with my Mom's help.

I was on vacation Thursday, and on a whim decided to travel to go and see them. They did not know I was coming. Arrived about 6:45, and Dad was sitting in the chair, TV off, and radio blaring. I asked if I could sign into BTN+ on his TV. He had no idea what I did, but he was incredibly grateful to be able to watch the game. He couldn't thank me enough. A great Father/Son memory.

Going to pay for and subscribe under my Mom's email now to BTN+ for them, she will be able to figure it out for him. Only one more MBB on BTN+, but several women's games which they also both enjoy. They won't get the main benefit (to me) of replays and old games, because that is not their thing and will be too complicated, but was a very good night, despite Iowa looking mediocre.

Iowa is #42.
