My perspective on Freeman is much different than before the season. I don't think he'd be as big of a loss compared to what I would have thought pre season.

While his scoring is up he's not made the jump I expected. Same stupid fouls that get him into foul trouble, same shitty defense and rebounding. He's somehow slower and more unathletic than before. Much of this is just as much of an indictment on Fran and his role in his development.

I'm just ready to be done with that fucking stupid McCaffery family. Large Marge is the worst and so are her stupid kids. Blow everything up and start completely new

Fwiw, Trilly has said multiple times that he thinks all of the “Iowa guys” (Jans, Forbes, DeVries, McCollum) will have interest. Jans would be my top pick but probably hardest to pull. I have zero idea how strong his roots/family ties are. That would be the only reason to jump. DeVries is pretty much the same boat but it seems like his ties are stronger

Also mentioned Alan Huss but his resume is shorter and stylistically, his profile looks like Fran’s. Fast paced, elite offense, bad defense.

And if not mentioned already, he has Freeman and Harding as portal entrants either way. When he puts a guy in there it’s based on something and has about a 99% hit rate.

huss has already turned down good jobs. The High Point job is excellent- beautiful area, awesome arena, donors who support hoops.

What really sucks during Fran's tenure is that we've never had any desire to go to the conference tournament with friends. Outside on the one BTT run, he has a miserable track record and it doesn't make a trip appealing while my ISU amigos routinely do the KC Big 12 trip. It's just not fair!!!!!
