Indiana gave up on the road like Iowa did so those games essentially canceled each other out as far as impact on the efficiency metrics.

I really hope Iowa has someone in the program whose sole purpose is to watch mid major basketball games and formulate a list of potential players like Thelwell or Traore they would go after if they enter the portal.

Also need to adjust the scheduling a little bit. 7 quad 4 games with 0 quad 3 games isn’t ideal.

Iowa will get ~21mm with 14mm going to football, right? The SEC schools will still have extra NIL dollars to throw at it so the imbalance will still be there.

Do those numbers directly translate to nil yet?
Brad said that he and Seth Wallace Tyler Barnes will basically be flip flopping roles soon with Brad being more a support unit for Tyler. Moreover Seth will be the one negotiating with the agents etc.

yes it is. Assuming you win big, it’s exactly how you game the NET

None of this shit makes any sense. Just look at some of those resumes based on NET.

Arkansas NET 49: 11-5. 1-5 in quad 1/2. 10-0 in quads 3/4.
Cincinnati NET 42: 10-5. 2-5 in quad 1/2 (all quad 2 wins) 8-0 in 3/4.
Vanderbilt NET 43: 13-3. 3-3 in quad 1/2. 10-0 in 3/4.
Dayton NET 61: they have 2 quad 1 wins but a quad 3 loss.
Iowa NET 45: no quad 1 wins but 5-0 in quad 2. 5-4 in quads 1/2. 7-0 in 3/4 but all are quad 4.

It’s January 12 so who cares but how the hell is Cincinnati in the field and Iowa is the 8th team out? Is it because they had them in the tournament 3 weeks ago and they haven’t really done anything to not be in it?

Lunardi’s last update was yesterday morning and he had Iowa 73rd so 5th out. I’m sure when he updates next they will be up a few spots.

Discussion on Bracketology on... checks calendar.... Jan. 12th... is super fucking gay.
Sorta, but the problem is it’s really hard to move your NET ranking in conference from this point forward because all the teams bunched up between 30-60 are going to win half their games against the same teams.

Whatever. Let's talk about it in mid-February.

Watching Thelwell this year compared to Perkins last year is so much more enjoyable.
Just imagine the people who gave him a half million or whatever they gave him feel about his performance so far this year.

How hard would it be for Iowa to have the cursive Iowa on their black uniforms? It looked pretty good on the coaches shirts for the games, and Iowa's basketball jerseys are mostly boring (outside of the golds)

I have a Tailgate shirt with that logo and I remember thinking it was expensive at the time. It’s probably 6-7 years old and is still in great shape…and somehow still fits.

In college basketball today, rapeball is still the superior tactic if you’re physically outmatched like we often are. So what do we do? We continue to trot out relatively unathletic teams, and find a way to double down on this by coaching any defensive toughness and awareness out of them.

The guys coming in next year offer a glimmer of hope, but I have no doubt Fran will find a way to turn them into clueless pussies on defense too. Fuck.

I think I'd start Mulvey and have Tadjo be his backup, Dembele after Tadjo fouls out in 6 minutes.
