Reading the last couple pages is the first time I can ever recall seeing the phrase zero tech. All things being equal, I’d like to forget it.
If we ever meet I can make that happen.

While I think it comes across as a bit try hard, the term has been used (mostly in coaching and by monster) since like the 60’s.

It ain’t anything new or buzzwordy.

Yeah, but is it try-hardy?

Is there a problem with using actual football verbiage to describe football?

People who talk about cinematography and other filmmaking concepts when discussing movies (not “films” because that makes you sound like a try hard) also fit that category, right?
Nope, denied.

Correct.

Anything that only a few people have an expertise in, particularly when it's a topic people THINK they know a lot. Using terminology to that topic makes people feel inadequate, so they lash out. Similar to a guard who closes down his splits to combo the DT and LB. Just lashing out.

I assume the Tony Ricearoni criticisms remain fair game?
Sure, only because that dipshit puts that stuff on social media knowing that no one understands it. But make no mistake he understands football in a way very few people do. Just because he worked with Petras doesn't mean he sucks at coaching. He's coached some really good quarterbacks. And continues to get hired, so that just shows that people value what he knows.

Here is the thing, I realize when I talk about movies (Film!!) and the way that I do that it is insufferable. I don't care, but I also don't deny that it is insufferable.

The football techno talk is the same way. Just admit it's annoying. It's fine!

outside of Kenny Pickett I don’t think he has a ton of college or NFL standouts

my personal view is that he probably makes it too complicated for most QBs. The vast majority of good QB traits (arm talent, processing, footwork) are inborn. The Petras/Lainez type turds can’t really be polished, and it’s cringy to sell them and those like them a line of bullshit that they can be for money. And that’s really what all that feathered dovetail garbage is. IMO, of course.

You think that due to the reasons above. It's more comforting to believe that vs the alternative.

I think Tony saw a big beautiful field stretching arm and heard dangling California clangers to go along.

You cure diabetes with your essential oils, chiro boy? Or do you need to double tape those ankles to really get to it?

Dude he fucking sucks and pulls that overly complicated garbage to appeal to other try hards that want to look down on the “average fan” (because they are way above that and exceptional) as a marketing ploy.

He’s a huge fraud and the only reason he continues to get hired is because people fall for his scam.

He’s no different that the “investment advisers” that get people to subscribe to their shitty newsletters because they are impressed with his “ability” to read the Q^2 diagonal post flop incubate trends on a chart! and want to get in on it to sound smart to their friends and differentiate themselves from the “casual investors”.
