I think all three are well done and while not incredibly different than recent iterations, they removed the parts many fans didn't like about them previously.

I wouldn't mind black jerseys with a golf iowa script for a one off game. Maybe when they play at Wells Fargo, something like that where they don't have to be the home team.

Offensive Efficiency: Iowa leads the big ten in FG%, and it's not even close, at 56%, with Indiana a distant second at 53%. That team FG% is good for 5th nationally. Team 3 point shooting is at 39.2%, buoyed by Stirtz (46%) and Folgers (44%). This is good for 43rd nationally and 4th in the big ten. And this is with Hausen at 2/8 so far. Banks and Combs have both hit early threes. If they can hover circa 33% between them, this could be an unexpected bright spot for the team. This efficiency from three has led to an efg% of .635, tops in the big ten. I expect three point shooting to drop off, as teams force Banks, Howard, and Combs to take (and likely miss) a lot more threes.

Iowa led the big ten in FG and eFG last year as well. In short, the strength of this team is still extreme offensive efficiency.

Rebounding: Iowa is dead last in the big ten at 31 rebounds per game. Dead last in offensive rebounds per game at 7.3. Last year Iowa at least stayed out of the cellar here, narrowly edging out USC for 17th in the big ten in these two stats.

Team 3 point defense: 33% which is 217th nationally. For perspective, last year's characteristically poor defensive effort resulted in 34.4% opponents 3pt FG %, which was 239th nationally.

SOS: Iowa has played absolute dog shit teams so far with far and away the worst strength of schedule of all big teams.

The rebounding stat is kind of silly at this point, as Iowa may only be getting 31 RPG, but opponents are only averaging 27 RPG as well. We may very well be a bad rebounding team when all is said and done but being last in the big ten with poor offensive rebounding numbers right now is because of having the slowest pace of play and highest offensive efficiency. Not a ton of opportunities for offensive boards.

My rebounding concerns are more observational than statistical. We aren't particularly big/brawny, and there are games where we'll probably be physically overwhelmed to some extent. I'm not really worried about us being outworked on the glass.

When your FG % is that high you aren’t going to have that many opportunities for Off Rebounds.

Rebounding is also the most misunderstood stat. How many Off boards are they giving up? That’s the stat I’d be concerned with.
