I was in the 9th row of the student section the year before the Hawks Nest came around. I didn't sign up to join the hawks nest because I figured it would reset my good seats that I slowly moved closer to the court every season. I figured I would be in the front 5. NOPE. Got bumped back to row 25 or so, the first row right behind the entire Hawks Nest.
I will be bitter about this until I am put 6 feet under.

I'm skeptical of this, since blue bloods have started getting involved in his recruitment. But if Iowa could land him it's be a huge win. He looks like a stud, reminds me of Alex Karaban. Definitely not a Mulvey situation.

Kakert never actually confirms anything, but he's saying some of the other schools want him to enroll early in order to redshirt, and that he'll need to take a few online summer courses, but they don't anticipate any problems getting him in at the semester. That's about as close as you are going to get from a guy who wants to hint at things in order to never be wrong, but claim he's right after the fact.

I would be surprised if the kid doesn't commit to Iowa soon.

McCollum has been a tremendous breath of fresh air so far. It's nice to have something that's not stale again.

Just kind of summarizing what the on3 national guys and kakert have said about Thompson.

He's a solid athlete but not a great one, not a shot creator, but a good cutter who doesn't shy away from physicality, probably not really 6'8, but matched up well against Arafan Diane (a 7-footer who is like 280), plays hard, good touch from range and near the basket.

Maybe more than that, one nice sign is how pissed the Purdue message boards are.
