That’s weird. My first guess would be that he just thinks Hassel is a clown but maybe he/they think he’s a snake and has been working the DeVries angle.
Yea, not sure if the “lol” is a dig at Gatens or implying that Gatens wouldn’t stay at Iowa after what went down. I would be shocked if he wouldn’t stay on to work for Devries. I know these coaches are emotional and it sucks to lose your job, but Spurlock and Eldridge might have the maturity and self restraint of high schoolers

Jirak will be an all-valley player. He’s big, athletic, and tough as shit. He would have had big ten offers had he waited. He’s way better than gerdes who had an iowa offer. Someone like him is exactly what we needed this year.

Pryce was coached defense by Fran mccaffery for two years. He has shot 39% from 3pt overall and 41% in conference play over two years. He’s a career 60% shooter from 2pt You are retarded if you think he won’t have a long list of HM options, but his arms are small or something. I demand big strong toughness!
He is not athletic.

I sure do hope D can land Trevin to pair with Pryce.

And with that, I'm aboard the McCollum train.

Maybe DeVries actually is all lined up and Gatens is who Eldridge’s tweet was directed at.
This was my thought as well. Which would strangely bring the Fran era full circle, since Gatens was allegedly instrumental in getting The Criminal fired.

No more Iowa whites. It's absolute fool's gold (or bronze?). The mentality has to completely flip.

Iowa (former) coaches seem to be publicly very pissy about this, I don't recall seeing that before. "I'm gonna wait a couple days before I say more" type shit. Although I never pay much attention to other teams assistant coaches when they've been fired.

If anything it highlights that it was time, these guys were way too comfortable putting out a mediocre team.

This is the pg transfer DeVries brought in for West Virginia this year. Sucks he was a senior. Averaged almost 19 ppg.

I think too comfortable is the right way to put it.

I’ve been plenty vocal here that Fran wasn’t nearly as bad as IowaFan bitched about, but it’s undeniable that there was a really low ceiling on his tenure here. 15 years is a long time.

It’s understandable to be upset someone you like got fired, but it’s not like this was some cutthroat thing. He wasn’t wronged.

Spurlock’s reaction to that tweet could also simply be because it’s a goofy picture.

As of now sounds like Kansas, Arkansas or Gonzaga.

Freeman loves Fran it appears, so, did Freeman know Fran was going to be gone and then decided that he was going to transfer? Shut it down and not finish out the season for a coach you love?
Sounds like Payton played through injuries and Freeman couldn't play I guess.

That means you disagree.
Nah I mean if they all go I’m fine with that too. Maybe Gatens was part of the problem too. Just going off a probably flawed “body language” observation.

So no, I dont disagree.
