lolololol Kakert apparently just made a post where he said both “they were never at the closing stages this morning” and “things were not looking great earlier today”.

The guy is so damn predictable.

And then he talks about how McCollum was supposedly touring Carver tonight.

Speak ill of Eickholt if you like, but he at least doesn't weasel around that badly.

I can only see the first few lines of Eickhold’s article, but if we’re waiting on a decision, obviously things weren’t being finalized. Good for him for not deleting his earlier reports, though.

Yea, Kakert is all over the place. If he does have a source, it's not a very good one.

I don’t believe we’re waiting on anything. I think it is all a formality at this point and it is done.

Kakert claims West Virginia really complicated things but McCollum ultimately wants to stay in the Midwest. Meanwhile West Virginia people are saying they are not getting McCollum.

Kakert hates Eickholt so his report is very fitting.

Some Drake insider on the Trilly discord said this is all just a cleanup job by the media because they know he has been talking to players and coaches about the Iowa Job for a week. They just don’t want it to seem like anything shady was going on. Trilly said he has heard nothing to indicate anything has changed. The WVU folks know they aren’t getting McCollum. Kakert made his dumbass post to undermine Eickholt. Then had to make a post after saying that he thought Iowa was in a really good spot.

Eickholt likely posted his tweet with no other info than Trilly’s post in hopes this would break within a few hours and it unfortunately has not been officially announced.

They’re paid to know about Iowa athletics and seemingly none of them have any legitimate sources in the athletic department. I hope they’re all fucking embarrassed when Jeff Goodman breaks it.

This is all Tom getting furiously angry with David because he didn't follow some unspoken protocol that Iowa beat writers and message board services are supposed to follow where they only report on something if the University has given them permission. Tom and the rest follow it religiously, which is why they get scooped by national media every single time.

I’m not sure how anybody with a brain can read his post saying “I didn’t look good earlier” ending with “he’s touring carver” followed by I’m feeling good about it 20 minutes later and not realize the dude is full of shit.

I paid for the Trilly because he has proven that he is the only one with any actual information in this coaching search. As demmert said above, everything from the other Iowa Boards is getting posted on the Trilly discord and to me it seems there is nothing of substance on 247 or on3. Trilly was the one who said he has been calling around fielding his staff at Iowa. There are too many people in the Iowa Channel on the discord now and it’s turning into Hawkeye Report with WVU fans trolling Iowa fans and the morons all taking the bait. But aside from that, the real info seems to be coming from there.

Also, if they didn’t announce today out of courtesy to Drake then that is a misstep. Rip the band-aid off. Fuck Drake.

It’s gotten really bad with the WVU people. Plus the people that pay for Trilly and then lose it when Tom has an update. It’s also pretty clear Eickholt uses Trilly. The timing of the updates match up.

Yeah, i dont think there's going to be an announcement/anything in person tomorrow afternoon. And you would think if they released something it would be in the am.

Him and/or Bock absolutely are and have been throughout. The timing has matched the whole way. And they should pay $6 for a resource that helps but just say that.
