Can you imagine letting something that happened at some high school cloud your love for the program you’ve loved for years? I know Wade said he was over the moon about the Elite Eight appearance but he is clearly not over some perceived slight. The cul-de-sac is going to be devastated by the success over the next 10 years.
My guess is the cul-de-sac is not as completely retarded as one of their residents and will be able to enjoy the ride.

it’s not a slight. It’s just another example of how parents cannot view their own kids in an objective light. We just fucking went through it in multiple sports!!

I told you he would offer Jirak.
Then I told you his kid would be on the team.
Then I told you he would be on scholarship and be eligible for NIL/rev share.
Then I told you he was going to play him.

Why is this hard to understand?

Why is it so hard to realize that after they made the Elite Eight that you should shut the fuck up about all of it?

I expect a step back next year because Iowa will be so "young and developmental" and because no one will be able to replace Stirtz at the high level he played at. Future years will be better.

Who the Hell else was he going to add as a big last off-season. They just needed bodies. Jirak played sparingly when they needed him.

Collectively they’ll be better on offense. Koch was terrified to shoot until later in the year. I think a lot of that was they got in ‘stand around and watch Bennett shoot’ mode.

They were also tentative at the rim against anyone with size. McKeever should help with that.

The Maryland and Penn State games probably go differently with someone like McKeever patrolling the lane.

You said Iowa was hiring Devries.
Jirak being offered isn’t egregious.
In the current ncaa model zero people care about the last scholarship.
He hasn’t played a second.
You were a relentless faggot about Ben during the season and suddenly remembered you were an Iowa fan, not a D Rock fan, during their tournament run.

Does this help?

His shooting numbers for a 7-3 guy aren't great. Maybe pump the breaks on his offensive expectations

1. He is 7’3” and will have some easy dunks in our offense. He won’t be relied upon to put up huge numbers but unquestionably adds an element that didn’t exist last season.

2. Shut the fuck up.

The one thing that holds true over the last month, and that is no matter how high the success is achieved, IowaFan will desperately try to find a way to be fucking MISERABLE about everything.
That’s just THC and wade.

he hasn’t played a second because he crashed his moped. He was playing before that.

I had this opinion before he ever coached a game at iowa.

You keep doing the same negative shit just in different variants. Everyone was pumped in here and you had to make the comment about The Valley.
Don’t worry, I also posted the 247 top 250 portal guys and he wasn’t on the list.

Eh…all McCollum does is win with what he has. He’s got some better pieces as well as a good chunk of the foundation from last year. I’m excited to see what he can do with it.

I’m not gonna look it up, but I am nearly positive I made this same anti-nepotism comment regarding Devries and his kid and you said I was stupid and should want both of them.

So this is weird

I would gladly take a year of Tucker if it means his dad is our coach next year.

it would also mean that the core of our current roster would stick around, which I think would be great for the transition.
there no way Dix stays. His mom is sick, he going to get a 7 figure deal, and they just fired his guy. He will be playing for McCollum at Creighton.
Obviously would be nice to get a guy like AJ Green, but I’m not sure AJ Green becomes the player he is if his dad isn’t a college assistant. Same with Tucker. So can’t really call those a miss. Tyler Hall ended up with a nice college career although he is technically Illinois I believe. There really wasn’t a ton of other instate guys out there that Iowa wanted, I’m sure im missing someone.

I was thinking, this could actually work out really well for iowa, assuming devries is the guy. Tucker would have a year left to play. Devries also recruited pretty much everyone on our roster.

or maybe the new AD is more open to someone like Forbes, not that D is a choir boy.
Lol that we wouldn’t want one year of tucker devries
If Devries brings Tucker for a year I will be thrilled.
There are lots of things working in Devries favor:

1. it’s his dream job
2. He recruited and has relationships with our best returning players
3. He values both defense and offense
4. He can build a roster from dog shit and will hit the portal and jucos
5. he has some big boosters on his side.

Not to mention you might get a year of Tucker who is going to be two-time MVC POY and a draft pick.
Next year:

harding
Bowen
Tucker
Sandfort
Freeman

Biliew
Dembele
Koch

who gives a fuck after that
Tucker Devries has missed the last 3 games with a shoulder injury. He would currently be eligible for a medical redshirt this year, having played in only 8 games.

Just sayin.

D recruited Harding to drake so that’s about his only hope there. He would have to be willing to be a backup.

Tucker and Pryce are bff’s plus Koch so that’s at least 3 serviceable pieces. Need a portal PG and rebounder for sure, 2 ball handlers more than likely. Maybe see if you can pick off Mr. Basketball Jirak who has already signed with UNI. he will have big offers after his freshman year anyways and they won’t keep him.

i would bet he keeps gatens because despite being a quiet kid I have heard he’s a good coach. Lewis willl follow spurlock, so they are likely both gone. No clue on IJA, I assume he goes to Minnesota, and who gives a fuck about the two other guys. They suck.
