it’s not a slight. It’s just another example of how parents cannot view their own kids in an objective light. We just fucking went through it in multiple sports!!

I told you he would offer Jirak.
Then I told you his kid would be on the team.
Then I told you he would be on scholarship and be eligible for NIL/rev share.
Then I told you he was going to play him.

I expect a step back next year because Iowa will be so "young and developmental" and because no one will be able to replace Stirtz at the high level he played at. Future years will be better.

Who the Hell else was he going to add as a big last off-season. They just needed bodies. Jirak played sparingly when they needed him.

Collectively they’ll be better on offense. Koch was terrified to shoot until later in the year. I think a lot of that was they got in ‘stand around and watch Bennett shoot’ mode.

They were also tentative at the rim against anyone with size. McKeever should help with that.

You said Iowa was hiring Devries.
Jirak being offered isn’t egregious.
In the current ncaa model zero people care about the last scholarship.
He hasn’t played a second.
You were a relentless faggot about Ben during the season and suddenly remembered you were an Iowa fan, not a D Rock fan, during their tournament run.

1. He is 7’3” and will have some easy dunks in our offense. He won’t be relied upon to put up huge numbers but unquestionably adds an element that didn’t exist last season.

Eh…all McCollum does is win with what he has. He’s got some better pieces as well as a good chunk of the foundation from last year. I’m excited to see what he can do with it.
