Well, I disagree. Graves is in shape and ready to help the dline. He likely won't make the Ravens. Besides your "they played their time" rock solid reasoning, do you have anything else?
It's college. Enough with all this nonsense. He played 4 full years, time to move on. I'm sick of this covid-era nonsense where there are endless waivers and exemptions and court rulings to get a guy 5,6, 7 or even 8 years.

Get a job and move on. I want to see natural progression and new players, because it's college and not the NFL.

It's 5 years now. Everyone graduating this decade gets the benefit of 5. Why not Graves? From a personal perspective, it could be huge for him.

As long as he plays like he has the past couple years, Graves can cash as many checks as he wants. Or shove them up his ass. Whatever.

To be clear, if I was the decision maker here and guys like AG could come back I'd be very selective. Maybe just the two guys I already mentioned. Plug and play.

I would think the issue now is budgets have long been determined and doled out. Not to say you can't find an extra 500k somewhere but we aren't really that kind of program either

Yeah I thought of that. But like you said, I think they could find the money. The players might have to be a bit patient. But for a guy like Graves I'm sure people who give money with pony up for another year of him.

Donavon Dent going to Gonzaga will likely be the most consequential move. AJ Storr will go for a 5th team in 5 years. Moe odum best PG available not that we are going to make any changes.

Also hard to be patient when the season starts in 5 weeks
Well, if you were AG, and knew you weren't going to make an NFL roster, but could come back to school and maybe make a few hundred thousand, I think you'd trust them to find the money before the end of the season. Don't you?

It’s 9 for 9 if you go back to high school for storr.

Supposedly the court ruling states that these 5th year guys won’t count towards roster limits or salary caps. This is all so stupid. There are no rules. Well, there are. But all you have to do is lawyer up and the rules go away. This all leads to the death of the ncaa and although the ncaa has sucked for a long time, we don’t know what’s on the other side. But at least Tavion Banks and AJ Storr can profit!!!

If Iowa had money left, he would still be on the team. He’s going to get paid for what he did against Florida. Good for Tavion.

So is the thinking the guys taking Banks' minutes will be better? Or is it about fairness and pissing people off? Because the latter sounds like Fran.

It's probably that he built his roster with the understanding Banks was gone and believes the roster can fill the void that Banks left. If Banks was a primary ball handler or on ball scorer, they probably would have found a spot again for him.

And I could be completely wrong here, but with the young wing talent ready to step in, the last thing you want to do is bring in a guy who hasn't been there the past few months and chip away at their minutes, perhaps causing them to be disgruntled and hit the portal.

I’d love to have Graves back. Not so much Hurkett. Great Hawk, but I like our ends’ pass rushing potential. Especially Epenesa, Brown and Anderson. Also time to find out what we have in Drew Campbell.

Why do people think Hurkett has any eligibility left? His first year at Iowa was in 2020. This new ruling is for guys that came in in 2022.

Fresh off their first Colombian Pro League championship, Cali's team, Los Toros de Valle played Arkansas in the Baha Mar summer league and lost by 42 (91-49).

And they play Texas AtM tomorrow night

Cali has a little guard who is ridiculously quick. But they are small, and the team consists of 3 low major American players and a bunch of Colombianos.

I hope they right the ship against the homos of AtM

Did Medellin beat Cali, @BBK ? My assumption is that they'd have more budget, but perhaps fewer black dudes.
