Too bad halo chats aren't searchable, lots of hate for Cooper. But the real basketball savants like myself bought Koch stock last year. Not that kind AZ.
That’s not what I remember. You were talking endless shit about Cooper in chat for the first 3 months of last season. It was right after you came out as a deeply closeted homosexual.

Remember when @Jim Tebow didn't think he would play at all?
I was correct, though, in the metaphysical sense in that the koch of last season/pre-season evolved into something much greater. In the alternative, please note I didnt actually say that he wouldnt play at all. Also, i cant be blamed for the algorithm which predicted minutes. Thats pure math (aka science). And as a final note please be aware koch was still pretty one dimensional and still just stood in the corner jacking threes. He looked much better when he started making them.

With all that said, i like him and hope hes a big contribtor this year.

Koch will be great this year since he’s dropping a few lbs and moving to his natural position

Finishing in the 7-12 range keeps me happy. As we've seen, that seems to be where Iowa ends up and most years that's NCAA tournament quality. Now with Ben, NCAA tournament and conference tournament runs hopefully won't be as rare!

Hopefully, we can squeeze into the tournament where a McCollum coached team has a great chance of doing damage.

Big things? I mean they’re good but I’m not sure what to really expect from them.

Why 7-12 and not 1-12?

I may end up looking like an idiot on this, but I think they will be significantly better than last year if either Coleman or Sage can be players that can consistently get their own shot when needed.

That really was Stirtz's actual special talent last year, when the shot clock is running down and you need someone that can get their own shot off and score he could do it at a high level. It certainly wasn't his defense.

I would hope Iowa is massively improved at rebounding and second chance points. Should be significantly better on defense and way more athletic. The collective talent is much much better and the ceiling of the players is way higher than last year.

If you look at the bench alone, the #6-#12 players this year would destroy the same #6-#12 players last year. Big Pear Jirak was your 10th man last year, this year he's the 10th man again and would whoop his younger self. Their 11th man this year is a 4* Top 100 freshman that is jacked to the tits.

Sage and Koch are going to be studs this year. Expecting big things from them.
It's best not to expect anything from them as you have no impact on their performance.

This is a fine example of RATT.

You often are an idiot but there's surprisingly some pearls in here. Iowa coaches can go very deep with their guys.

It was a double edged sword. So many possessions where he would have to take bad shots because he was the only one that could get anything off late in the shot clock, and there was nothing else open.

I genuinely do not know what to expect. Stirtz was not a great athlete which really showed up on defense, but I’ll be damned if he didn’t make some incredibly contested shots look easy.

I am probably underrating his athleticism, given the fact that he was a first round pick into the league with the best athletes in the world

What I am thankful for is that I no longer have that feeling of “more of the same, let’s just hope it turns out different this time”
