Kaleb was an insanely good college RB and won multiple games by himself. They even lost a game specifically because they DIDN'T give him the ball multiple times inside the 5 yard line.

His time so far in Pitt is irrelevant. What he did at Iowa is even more impressive because he did it with zero help from the worse group of QB's in college football.
Well, I'm not going to argue about it anymore. He was great, the line was great, Hecklinski was great, and the Hawks are gonna be great. So bring it the fuck in, boys!!!!

Watch the Minnesota run again, all timer. All those yards and TDs with no fucking passing game at all.

If you want to play degrees of great, ok, but no doubt he was a great Hawkeye RB.
The catch and run against Nebrantska was just one guy beating all 11 guys on the defense by himself

Only on new (and old) Halo could someone make a point, get push back on that point, then come back later and change the original point to something else and somehow think he's a victim.

I think Moulton is among the best we've had in getting more out of a play than was blocked, with his twisting and turning. He really fights. He got a lot of 7-8-9 out of 2-3. He just hasn't ripped off the 60 yarders.

If KJ had two yards blocked, he got two. Obviously, he had the magic once he had a path to get to the next level and make fools of college DBs.

I just watched that Brown highlight. He looks bad even by Iowa standards.

He looks so bad I really can't imagine that the next couple guys on the depth chart are worse.
The contrast in the two QB performances makes it incredibly difficult for me to believe this supposed competition between them has been “neck and neck” thus far. It seems completely implausible to me

Don’t work yourselves up when KF continues to say this is still a competition in the coming weeks. He almost certainly will continue saying that, and it shouldn’t matter unless Brown starts in Game 1.

He's not starting. And I have 5 bucks to back up that prediction.

If they’re continuing to split reps, maybe a part of Kirk’s thinking is that either way they’re going to need Brown at some point since QB1 is 186 pounds. I’d like to see Sullivan get a shot.

If we get to QB #3 I’d just assume give bessinger the ball

I don't know how to feel about this play from the other day, lots of things going on. First, great screen to Tony Diaz who ran untouched for about 30 yards.

Second, look at the other side of the field. The RB was so wide open he would have also walked into the end zone if Hecklinski threw it to him instead.

Third, look at RVZ coming across the middle, he is also WIDE open.

Fourth, I don't know what that says about the defense that they were completely fooled in every way falling all over themselves that three players on a single play on completely different areas of the field would have gained 30+ yards and possibly scored as well. Rarely do you see an Iowa defense that out of sorts.

Ok, here's my take. During scrimmages like this, coaches sometimes will tell the offense (the QB) to throw to the primary receiver. As in, don't worry about your other options, I want to see this play work with this receiver against this look. I'm not saying I know for sure that's what happened, but it's very possible. It's also very possible Heck just didn't see the RB or RVZ. Playas fuck up too. The defense is concerning.

It reminds me that I was listening to the Hawk Central podcast and one of them, I think Tyler, was concerned about the kicking game, and noted once when they didn't even kick the ball, and had to scramble. Now, I didn't see that particular play, but again, my first thought was the coaches wanted to see the scramble drill live against a defense so they told the kick unit to pretend it was a bad snap and run the fire play.

On a side note, I generally like the HC podcast, but the way Tyler Tachman talks kind of grinds my gears. He puts a W in the word "but" so it sounds like "bwut" and he says it frequently. He's also one of those guys who says "impordint" and "pordal". Very petty, I know, but now that I've noticed it I can't unnotice it.
