There are guys he simply didn't get like OL Alt or the TE Raridon, but guys they pass up usually are shit. The DE who went to Wisconsin and flamed out and ended up at Cal is the most recent one.

I forgot about him. Pleasant Valley grad, went to Michigan State and then transferred to Indiana and did nothing. Now ending his career at UMASS.

the way it works is if schools start hearing a big white kid in Iowa with several offers is probably not going to get an Iowa offer they start offering in droves, usually leading to an inflated rating.

It was happening with Severson in ‘28 but he was so young Iowa just hadn’t scouted him at TE yet and wound up offering.

A little different situation but TJ Bollers was another one. Iowa was also really late to the party on Oliver Martin and despite him playing 1 year at Iowa they were not exactly wrong on that one either.

Assume the 4-star OL from Grinnell is the next one. I know he's an Iowa State "legacy" but especially at OL, Iowa offers, you tell your dad to GFH.
