If he’s 6’4 as a freshman you’d have to think be has a couple few more inches to grow.

He’s also 6th in the state across all classes with a .610 batting average. And has scored 20 runs in 12 games.

Not a bad week for the incoming sophomore TE from Norwalk.

To go with offers he already had from ISU, KSU, and Miami Hurricanes.

How many skill position players from Iowa have ever had offers to Georgia and Miami? Let alone before their sophomore year?

He’s 2026 but the Jacobson kid from Waukee has about 10 career receptions and is on pace to have an offer from every school in the country.

WNW’s best returning player (WR) decided to go to Waukee for his senior year. He technically lives in the Waukee boundary so he doesn’t have to sit out.

They are going to be good.

I’m assuming this Brewer kid is the younger brother of the Senior softball pitcher from Norwalk going to Iowa, so maybe that means the Hawks have the edge.

Waukee’s best defensive player transferred to Centennial.

I'm assuming brother of the ISU/Nebrantska basketball player?

His uncle is a big Iowa guy, but unfortunately dad/grandpa/rest of the family are ISU fans.

Yeah, my kids have played against both. Brewer is much more athletic. Jacobson is bigger. Both seem like D1 football players. Neither struck me as the type to get Georgia or Ohio State or LSU offers. I'm clearly wrong so far.

Also has a sister that played bball at NDSU/WMU. And a sister that pitches at Virginia Tech. Good genes in that family. And a sweet indoor gym. And way too much money.

You'll have one of hell of an "I knew it" if it turns out they suck in college though

Well, that answers the question of why Iowa has offered Brewer and not Jacobson. Brewer fits the Iowa TE recruit archetype.

The cross Metro high school transfers are really increasing. It used to be a kid like McGregory transferring from North to Valley or someone like that from a DSM Public school to a suburban school. But the last couple of years, and it appears to really be going up for next year, there are a ton of athletes shuffling from one suburban school to another.

Evan actually spent a lot of time in my house when he was younger. He and my 16 year old were close for a couple of years. Hopefully he didn't change much because he was always a nice and respectful kid.

Did they watch Game of Thrones together?

Nebrantska basketball games I'm sure. Or as you Husker fans say, Nebrasketball.

Not breaking news, but on-field production doesn’t seem to be a major factor in early offers.

Seems like Iowa has offered a shitload of in state TEs.

Sounds like some of his bigger offers might be to bulk up and play OL.

Saw a video from an old acquaintance in Creston that her sophomore son was hitting 60 yard fgs consistently in practice yesterday. Flores is the last name. No idea if that's normal for kids that age or what though.

Sophomores usually are hitting 65-70 yarders.

Well, looks like he’s yet to record a touchback in 6 kickoffs, and they haven’t attempted a field goal yet this season, so I’m skeptical.
Sounds like the coaches need to unleash that weapon.

They got a D1 tight end and the other team relying on Cayden Cracker in man coverage with no help. Lololol

JC moreau and his strong hand.

Maybe Bollers should have gone to Iowa
