43.28 vertical PR and 10'4 broad jump suggest a certain amount of athletic ability. Not sure how fast 21.5 mph is in the grand speed scheme.

hes 4.45-4.50 right now which is perfectly fine for a kid with a senior season of high school still to play

Considering the average 40 time for d-backs in the 2026 draft was 4.53, I’d say it’s perfectly fine regardless of age.

People are really fucking stupid when it comes to understanding what a good 40 time is.

Given that the average HaLo poster's high school 40 time was 4.73 you can understand why some of these guys don't impress us.

I would bet it’s nowhere close to that in reality.

This is an ongoing call out year after year. Nobody understands the 40. What makes it worse is all the incorrectly timed, or flat out lied about times you hear from recruits.

That said, speed training and specific prep for the 40 has changed dramatically since we were kids. They're running faster times than us, but they're not as fast as they say they are.

Every squirt from bum fuck Egypt claims they run a 4.5 40 despite having zero tape and only Cletus to measure it for them.

There is a massive difference between hand timed by your football coach and laser timed at a camp or combine.

There are also a lot of people who expect FB players to run elite track times, but it’s extremely rare to happen at the weights you need to be to actually make it through a football season healthy.

I am learning so much. Hand timed 40s are not accurate, AND, there’s more to football than a 40 time!!!

After watching those fast Vanderbilt receivers often get past the Iowa DBs last year, I’m all for more speed in the secondary.
