This misconception about Banks drives me crazy. Did he have a very good supporting cast? Yes. Would that team have been undefeated in Big Ten play with a QB other than Banks? I don't think so. Our offensive prowess that season was in no small part due to his rushing capabilities. But even more important his decision making.

Some people cite wins (lol), stats, big plays, game winning drives, etc. For me, the question could be answered if jvb gets drafted and/or makes an nfl team. As good as Banks was, nfl scouts sure didnt appreciate his skills as a qb. We will see if they like jvb.

I see you added "college" as a descriptor, which changes things a bit. Now youre looking at tons of factorslike the ones i mentioned above. The Big Arm guys in the NFL (and Hounded) throw it 10-15 yards further - and probably 5+ mph faster - than me. Plus, I'm a shade under 6'2" - slightly less than ideal.
