Connor might be having an ok season, but he's been pretty bad on defense and on offense he gets the ball and holds it for a three count and won't push the ball. He's also screaming at everyone all the time and they seem a bit sick of him. Every minute he is on the court going forward is a minute that a younger guard isn't on the court and developing.

I liked this team when they were healthy and moving the ball early in the season. I fucking hate them now that teams figured them out and they aren't healthy and stopped moving the ball.

Lost season and next year will need to be a complete rebuild.

Lol, why? Because they beat Indiana at home by 2? What has changed?

I'm happy they won. Doesn't matter, they pissed the season away when they lost the Eastern Illinois game and they are still going to have to do a rebuild. 1-3 in the Big Ten and their roster is uber fucked for next year. It's a lost season and tonight didn't change that.

It's not nearly as bad, but Connor/Rebecca playing this year has about as much worth going forward as having Spencer Petras be the QB for every game this past season.

Of all things, getting pissed at Conner and Filip seems wrong. I’m not sure this team would have 5 wins without those two guys. And don’t say that’s your point and that young guys should be playing instead. Calling this a wasted season is nothing compared to playing Jelly/Mulvey big minutes this year. That would have been The Criminal shit

No Shit. This years team…is a completely different team Iowa with and without Connor on the court.

Flip has played out of his mind this year, and is one of the very few guys that actually play with real effort and intensity.

Those two guys are the “tide that raises all ships” on this team. Not because of talent necessarily, but the effort and intensity. They’re the only two guys willing to get in Tony’s ass when he’s playing like he did last night.

And LOL, thinking about the other two bigs. I actually had hopes for Mulvey at one point. He came in super young, had some weird health stuff, and thought maybe he could beok. But he would need a Luka like work ethic to make that happen.

The best thing for this team’s long term growth would be to totally remove the 2 guys who actually seem to compete and give a shit from the equation and let the other guys just flounder about.

No shit they are going to have to do a rebuild. It is college basketball where teams are forced to rebuild every fucking year. Tanking isn't particularly conducive to convincing recruits to sign up for the rebuild. They're not going to get a lottery pick next year.

Why should Mulvey/Ogundele not play? Fran recruited them to be D1 Big 10 players.
