I think Purdue will make a run in the tourney- well coached, move the ball, have a big guy that plays his role and is a great passer.

Anderson isn't great. Tries to insert himself too much into the game. Freeman's 2nd foul was called by Anderson as the trail, while he was nearly at half court. There was LITERALLY no contact.

They’re probably an elite 8 team

That was the most impressed I’ve been with Purdue’s supporting cast. They looked good today. I still think they are the type of team that goes down in the round of 32.

Overall a pretty good effort. The Edey officiating was really frustrating. Thought he got away with a few walks on the traps and camped in the lane for 5+ several times. Drew a couple super weak ones and got away with a couple. We weren’t going to beat them unless we shot better than they did from outside or we forced a bunch of turnovers. Sandfort missed some great looks, still need Dix to be more aggressive.

Dembele was impressive. Not scared and was the only guy who could move Edey off his spot occasionally. He must be stronger than Freeman by a bit. Teams underestimate his length on lob passes.

Crowd was ready to explode all game long. Had they got it down to 5 on one of those 3’s at the end, it would have gotten real loud. The guys did play admirably.

Iowa spent about 15 minutes in the second half down 11-14 points and couldn’t get it under 10. Almost every chance they got was a horrible shot.

And countless times after we got a score and forced a miss, Edey would reach right over someone for the board or two guys are fighting him and someone came from the weak side clean. There weren’t many times I was really pissed at the defense. So much of it just came down to Edey bullshit.

Any team that is hot from 3 will beat them in the tournament. Iowa was down 8 with 3:30 left despite being out rebounded by 26, giving up an 19-2 run, and shooting horribly from 3. You can let Edey get 40 and just hope they miss enough outside shots to keep you in it.

Would also be smart to call a timeout and get your non performing players out of the game when Purdue is going on a run in the first half but that’s neither here nor there.
