The shot clock replay was insane. Every time the announcers would critically break down the replay and their heads exploded about it, the replay they were going nuts about was actually showing that the shot clock was working well, and the basket was counted good correctly. Replay after replay after replay, it kept disproving what they were saying. It was unreal to watch.

Hey Fran, this isn't anything new, but please consider recruiting bigger/thicker guys - not 'Big Jelly' thick, but you know what I mean - and hiring an assistant that will get the team to play this rugby-style/'refs can't call everything' defense that is so dominant in the NCAA ranks now.

The big ten champion dark horse talk in preseason was hilarious because this team doesn't have enough consistent scorers and isn't in the same league as some of the recent Iowa teams. A game like today is probably good for them as a reminder what is coming again during the season. They're going to be fine and shots will start falling. Some issues probably won't be solved this year, namely post play but once they get the offense going this should again be a top half of conference and NCAA tournament team.

The “their second best player was even out” stuff is bullshit. It’s #1 then a huge gap between him and the next group of guys, and they have the depth to not make an issue.

Despite everything, I thought the guards handled the physical play alright.

Forwards were turnover machines. Kris is good, but he basically has one move. Iowa shouldn't ignore Rebraca, but he needs to be quicker in getting it back out. Sandfort was a woof overall.

The more I watch Ogundele, the more pissed I get. He could be serviceable if he took his weight seriously. It's not like he's a middle aged trucker, there's no excuse for his body.

I like the effort out of Rebraca, but he's being asked to be something he's not. Because the other two suck.

They got whooped physically but they’ll win some of these games.

Perkins is clearly not 100%, Patty didn’t show, Sandfart can’t shoot right now and Kris is playing scared.

Ulis has looked really good the last couple games.

A few threes fall or the game is called a little tighter and this might look a little different.

Sandfort and both McCaffreys were useless. Murray not a huge factor in either game, but saw guys like Ulis and Bowen step up. Things are going to be fine but they may be inconsistent. TCU is a good team. Still gonna be a good season folks

What TCU did tonight defensively - and the refs allowed because of it - is the not-so-new landscape of college basketball, definitely including the NCAA Tournament.

Iowa has to change their stance on their collective and pay the players they need to pay to elevate their programs a notch above where they’re at. It’s pretty sad that they had the national player of the year in Garza and the best they could follow that up with in the post is Rebraca, Jelly and Mulvey.

The guards a much closer to what they need for the tournament, and I’d actually like to see a lineup of Ulis, Bowen, Perkins, Kris and Rebraca on the floor together at some point.

Steroids and hitting the weight room would do wonders for the soft play. You'd think some of these soft ass players would get tired of being pushed around constantly.

If there was one thing Kris could have done over the summer to ensure him being a top NBA prospect, it was getting bigger and stronger. Instead he looks exactly like he did last season along with all of these other soft pussies. Perkins, Uhlis and Bowen even to a certain extent, notwithstanding.

And with either ACC, B10 or B12 refs, Iowa is gonna have to be tougher & fight through it or lose embarrassingly yet again in all three contests.
