I don’t know why these guys don’t get Invisalign. Everyone would understand.

Purdy had a nice day, but the end result is solidifying what everyone already knew; an elite QB with a mediocre set of skill players is better than elite skill players and a functionary quarterback.

SF knows it too, which is why they’ll continue searching for an elite QB.
He didn’t make many mistakes but I can’t think of many plays he made either.

His biggest issue is his general unwillingness to consistently step up in the pocket. He’s inclined to retreat from the pocket then try to make a play. This is what led to many of his stupid plays at ISU. His arm isn’t good to throw the ball downfield when you tack on the ten yards he’s already retreated.

I know his contract is a huge asset for San Francisco but if I’m Lynch, I look for better QB options. For the right price, I’d sign Cousins to a 2-3 year deal.

Pretty sure they are facing a cap crunch so a cheap QB (it was supposed to be Lance) is huge. But they also have a bunch of guys 28+ so they might have a short window.

Niners will stick with Purdy. He got them to the big game and he probably almost won, if not for a blocked xp. He's well liked and respected and doesn't make mistakes.

I'd be shocked if they moved on from Purdy. He's cheap, and they're a great team even if he has a ceiling at QB.

Making a change because you lost in OT in the Super Bowl would be kind of nuts. One play goes differently and we're talking about how brilliantly SF managed the cap.

They’re not moving on unless a sweet deal that helps them with cap space materializes (and it won’t), but no way they’re picking up his option when it comes time.

They’re going to get old very quickly.

I don’t think they’ll do it, but I’d sign a veteran QB. Trade Purdy for draft picks, and sign Cousins to a deal that defers his cap hit.

Purdy is fine. He’s good for what they need.

But I don’t think they’ll find many GMs willing to offer much in the way of draft capital for him.

Also, the NFC is going to still be weak next year so they can easily make it back to the Super Bowl with Purdy as long as he still has all his weapons healthy.

SF wins with Purdy. KC wins because of Mahomes. Idk who said it earlier but man it makes so much sense.

Gotta give credit to old lady Clone fans. They’re different. They want to fuck their favorite players/coaches and they’re proud of it.

Don't forget he almost ended the game with a missed pick on the first play of OT- assuming Butker kicks the 30 harder to win.
Dropped picks in the playoffs are part of the neat story

The great NIL ideas keep flowing...
Honestly, I still think the best way to get these numbers up is to get buckets for donations to the games. I seem to remember some football games where a non-profit was collecting donations in a bucket. Might have been Shriners or Variety Club, maybe with yellow and red aprons. Testing my memory, for sure. In any case, are we afraid of the line getting blurred for something like this? Who wouldn't have thrown a fiver in after KU or Houston? Add a Venmo QR code for the younger crowd - just don't put it right above the the urinals like some of the stickers that are already there. What a weird place for a QR Code. They are low enough that it causes concern for the picture taker and those around him. I digress...
