Plus, I bet it was a pretty sweet eclipse.
In five completed seasons since this tweet, Georgia is 51-10 overall, with four SEC east division titles, one overall SEC title, two CFP appearances, one national runner-up and one national championship. The only season in this span where they won fewer than 11 games was the 2020 Covid year where they still managed to go 8-2 and win a NY6 bowl. For context, the tweet was in response to the Bulldogs being ranked #15 in the 2017 AP preseason poll.
It gave us this, if nothing else.Plus, I bet it was a pretty sweet eclipse.
It was fucking incredible, what the hell is he talking aboutPlus, I bet it was a pretty sweet eclipse.
He's going to write a book on picking up women here soon.Being paid to cover something you know nothing about is a real American success story.
Someone should probably let him know this

He got it mixed up and closed his eyes during the pandemic insteadIt gave us this, if nothing else.
The Babylon Bee thinks they try too hard. You honestly have to respect WRNL’s ability to find unfunny people. They’re like super barstool.
"Ope. Sorry. Meant this for your wife."He deserves it!!
Scheduled after the national title game as he had ISU penciled in as playing in it.Vacation time boyz!
Thanks to Iowa in September, he knew that he would be free for this week.Scheduled after the national title game as he had ISU penciled in as playing in it.
You never know!!!!!Scheduled after the national title game as he had ISU penciled in as playing in it.
Iowa fans would be ecstatic if that was true. Yet Iowa State has never been able to beat Brian and his QBsPoor man's DanPom.
I am surprised as Iowa State's ratings are always good in games they lose
I’m not sure you fuckers really understand the Cyclone fan. 2021 is already flushed and ancient history. They’ve seamlessly transitioned to their most wonderful time of the year. The last few weeks have all been terribly confusing
That a good omen for the future. There are so many great Cyclone self-owns out there, but the "We totally would've gotten Nwankpa if we had any NIL money to offer" argument might just be the greatest ever.
They also don’t appear in the way too early top 25 rankings, which makes no sense for a top 10 program.I don't see them in the final top 25. Must be a mistake.
They're #1 in both Culture Polls and in WAT (Win-Adjusted Togetherness) !!!!!!!!!!!!! 100 100 100 100 100 !!!!!!!!I don't see them in the final top 25. Must be a mistake.
There are only 8? That number seems low.8 teams have finished in the top 25 the past 4 years. One of them is TOE, not the Bear in Ames.
From the Gazette:There are only 8? That number seems low.
From the Gazette:
“Iowa is in a small group of college football programs to end the last four seasons ranked in the AP Top 25.
Iowa is one of eight schools. The other seven — Georgia, Alabama, Cincinnati, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma and Clemson*..
*Plus Iowa State if they hadn't beaten themselves so many times."
That's shocking. I am shocked.From the Gazette:
“Iowa is in a small group of college football programs to end the last four seasons ranked in the AP Top 25.
Iowa is one of eight schools. The other seven — Georgia, Alabama, Cincinnati, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma and Clemson..”
But did Iowa finish top ten in FPI?

It is almost impossible to produce a metric that would be accurate across conferences over 12 games and 3 inter conference games. They absolutely have to bake in shit like recruiting rankings to make it work.
6-7 Auburn is higher than Iowa.
I do remember when FPI had Iowa in the 30s at 12-0 in 2015. Some Fuckoff from ESPN said it was due to Iowa’s low “Game Control,” metric, even though Iowa did not trail for like 5 games straight at one point. It’s almost like the formula is complete ass and that’s why they won’t release it for fear someone who understands math will make it out for what it is.
